Player Looking for Group Dungeons and Dragons (any pre-3rd Ed.), Savage Worlds, FATE, Supersheroic RPGS, Star Wars D6 or SAGA, -5GMT

Hello my fellow 20Rollers (is there a demonym for us, not sure). Anyway I wanted to drop a line and say that I’m looking to join a game, but not just any game. If there is a group playing any of the below rules set please consider me interested, if you’re looking for a player that is. I’m an old school gamer with a fairly steady schedule and a have a desire to join a long term game that will simulate the experience I had years ago when campaigns took years of investment. Also just in case you are thinking of asking at the moment I’m just interested in playing games, not running anything, so now you don’t need to ask. I’m looking for group playing any of the following editions of Dungeons and Dragons: Basic, Expert, Companion, Master, and Immortal, or Rules Cyclopedia, Basic Fantasy Role Playing, OSRIC, 1 st edition D&D, 2 nd Edition D&D. Basically anything pre-third edition. I’m interested in playing Savage Worlds and or FATE/FUDGE but depends on the setting but I’m really interested in playing something in those game systems. Superheroes are something else I’m interested in playing but not the Champions or anything with the HERO System. While I loved it as a youngster it has lost its appeal now. Don’t get me wrong I don’t have anything against the system, but it’s just not for me anymore. Star Wars either the old West End Games D6 version, or the SAGA edition I like them both for different reasons. Let's see what else do you need to know about me? I'm in the Eastern Time Zone -5GMT. I'm a dedicated role player but I know my way around a combat situation when it comes to that. Overall I prefer a 50/50 split of drama to combat and I'd rather feel like a character in a story instead of a set of stats in the middle of an endless combat situation unless we are doing an "at war" kind of plot. I played the Mentzer BECMI rules back in when they were new and switched over to the Advanced rules when they came out. I'm a veteran of several campaigns/adventures and realize that play style, rules and dungeon master fiat are all equally important elements to the game. If you find yourself looking for a new player please feel free to contact me. Peace Here is a copy of my gaming resume’ 6/2012 to present on hiatus and looking. 5/2011-05/2012 The OldMaster's Original version Deadlands game. 5/2011-8/2011 Part of an experimental group determined to improve GMing style by intensive critique. So anyone looking for a player?
I now find myself without a Friday or Saturday game. Anyone looking for a player with lots of experience?
Still looking
I'm also interested in an ICONS Super Heroic Role-Playing game too.
I think the people who use and play on roll20 are collectively referred to as "Naturals" but I'm not sure about that. Any advice for a not quite first time GM wannabe?
Sorry, I've never GMed on here.
Gidday Mike from New Zealand. If you are interested ( days and times may be an issue) I GM several games that you may be interested in : on a Tuesday night (7pm NZT) we are about to start a superhero game set in the early 30's pulpy and noir like using the Mighty six system ( which is based on the old west end star wars d6 system) on Wednesday we play a Swords and Wizardry game that is still in its infancy ( and the group have just returned from their first foray into a dungeon) - we are bouncing around a bit for starting time on this one but usually somewhere between 7 to 8:30 pm NZT, lastly I gm a Classic Trav game on Saturdays from 12pm NZT ( two actually with same group - one is a game that has past its first game year of going and we are approaching the first real year of gaming so lots and lots of story development, the second game is on its second 'mission' - a group of miners on a lucrative 5 year contract doing what prospectors and miners do best - getting dirty, getting dangerous and getting payoffs.) All games are open to new players ( if interested). We use dropbox to hold our files etc, have google communities for each game for intra session chat and info sharing as well as use Roll20 via hangouts as I record and post each session on a gaming blog ( like many others) . If any of this interests you and you are able to make any of the time you are most welcome to join us ( especially the Tuesday and Wednesday nights ( low numbers at present) please get back to me via skypegamenz@gmail.com as I do not check the messages on Roll20 regularly and have missed some responses. Cheers and Game On! Steve

Try to find ways to wrap your mind around concepts that you don't quite 'get'.... lol. JK, good to see you're still around!

Cheers and Game On! Steve Hey Steve, Glad to get a new reply in the thread buddy but I'm sort of busy during most of the times you're suggesting. Considering that there is a ten hour difference between our times most of the games are either very early in the morning or afternoon my time. However I might be interested in the Traveller game though so I'll send you an email to confirm. School and work is going to get in the way of most games now-a-days. However if something starts about 9AM to 12PM Friday, Saturday, or 9AM to 10AM Sunday, that would work best for me. Peace --Mike
Hello All, I'm still looking for a crew that is welcoming new players. Anyone need a player?
