The Life of an Adventurer is meant to be a heavy role-playing game focused only the lives of the party as the grow not only in skill but as people. The game is milestone in order to draw away from the idea of calculate exp in order to become stronger. The tale starts within the outskirts of a small city state known as Na'Raval, in the Bas'dric woodlands. Within the lands of the human realms lives the Drokal, Borren, Shaa, and Capori people. The main story is set with the players, in order to incorporate each step of the story as progress for one or several growths as individuals. The game is low teir magic system, and the certain people have inclinations or fears of magic so keep that in mind with creation as well as notable physical characterised differences which will be explained. For those looking to create ultimate characters that turn from peasant to demigod within 2 months in game time, this will not be your cup of tea. With that in mind, combat may not be heavy as well dpending on the chosen story and parties ideals on the challenges ahead of them. A key thing to keep in mind for creation is that, you aren't an Adventurer just yet! This is be establish with the party as we form the story, creating a point in our characters lives that truly draws themselves to one another. For character creation   You'll be starting at level 0!! (Do not worry, we won't be at level 0 for long)   Which means      You get race and background benefits, no class     Your hit points are 1d4+con     Proficiency bonus of +1     At 30 Xp, you get all the benefits of level 1     Two sets of 3d6- reroll 1s, you won't be able to mix and match between sets just able to  choose a desired set     You posses the ability to use a medicine check, to bandage wounds for 1d4+1 hp once per long rest      Survival is key within the lands and those with dangerous or skilled backgrounds around  medicine and chooses the proficency in it will also receive the healing feat The game       Will be run using roll20 + discord (voice or voice and video*) *up to party      Game time is 3-4 hours, with a lttle overtime incase of starting late as well.               Game date is Tuesdays from 8-11pm EST      Game frequency will be two games a month, due to classes such as quizzes and exams I hope  to continue biweekly but at least get in two games each month      Including in-character text channel dedicated to roleplay throughout the week as well to  mitigate downtime while still allowing those connections to be established       A few variant rules will be in play as well which the party will be presented with to vote upon. The game will start after we have enough players and then a week or two will be dedicated to establishing the story with the characters *We have 3 now, looking for 1-2 more! In Closing If you have any questions please message me on roll20 and I'll give you my discord so we can discuss it on an easier to use platform. I look forward to meeting all of you, and let's have some fun rolling the dice!
What are the variant rules or other homebrew rules you will have in effect?
Wisna said: What are the variant rules or other homebrew rules you will have in effect? For example     Flanking as a +2 to bonus to attack, rather then advantage in cases of combat     Potion of Healing possessing charge counters for uses (Common possessing 3 charges, 1-3 charges can be used as an action, 2d4+2 *1-3) And then player offered rules can be brought up and implemented as well
Hey this seems something I'd be interested in. Where would we apply? Just through a DM or is there a topic I seem to be missing?
