Please allow us to set a background color for the text tool. It's easier to make quick labels on maps if I can set a background color. Otherwise the text might get lost in the full-color image underneath.
I'll make a note of this, but in the meantime, what you could do as a temporary workaround is to use the drawing tool, make a filled box, enter your text, and then group the two so they're stuck together like glue. (highlight both, right click, advanced, is group)
