I own some digital content, including tokens, for Pathfinder. All the tokens came in one PDF file though. Is there an easy way to upload those for easy use, or do I have to do some major photoshop-type editing?
I believe you can only upload one page of a pdf at a time(<a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Art_Library#My_Library" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Art_Library#My_Library</a>), and it will be saved as one large image, which probably isn't very useful except for large images like maps.
Depending on how the pdf is set up and which pdf viewer you are using, you may be able to extract graphics from it to your hard drive and upload them individually. But there's nothing like that built in to Roll20.
Working with this scenario is something I sometimes do with stock art. I use the GIMP to extract the images to individual .jpg or .png files (depending if I need transparency). Open file in the GIMP, selecting the PDF page I want. Page settings on import are 8.5x11 in at 300 dpi. Use one of the selection to select the image I want and then copy it to the clipboard. Press Ctrl+Shift+V to copy the image to a new workspace. Resize the image according to the Roll20 file best practices . Export the file and upload to Roll20.
