How to cancel next scheduled game instead of changing date

If you already have your next game scheduled for a particular date but have to cancel, how can you remove it completely from the calendar (instead of just changing the date)?  In other words, I want it listed as no next game scheduled.

You pretty much just change the next game date on the calender then you can make a post about the game being cancelled and rescheduled in the game's forum.
