You wake up nice and early and decide to scope out a large looking building complex on the other side of the main plaza. It is pouring with rain and Trayzeal decides to sneak ahead to have a look. He peeks in the entrance and sees a group of people getting ready for the day. They are a small group of chultan warriors and a female Red Wizard. This wizard appears young, but one half of her face is wizened and old. Trayzeal heads back to the others, and after a discussion they decide that they will ambush the group. Trayzeal gets out one of the remaining poisoned arrows he recovered from Bag of Nails and they head up the stairs to the main plaza. Trayzeal leads the way and as he gets to the top of the stairs he sees the shape of the wizard and her protectors heading towards him through the rain. It is obvious that he hasn't been spotted yet so he shoots an arrow at the wizard with deadly effect. She drops dead, without even seeing her attacker. Realising that their leader has been taken out, the chultan warriors immediately start running. Orvex climbs to the top of the plaza and calls out to them, encouraging them to join forces with you. However the site of Orvex shouting at them, soaking wet and thin hair plastered to his head, is hardly inspiring. One of the chultans spits at the ground. "You have turned on the wizards, trying to steal their treasure. They will not allow you to live". With that, the chultans disappear into the building complex they had been camping in and out of sight. Orvex quickly searches the body of the dead Red Wizard and recognises her as Zagmira, the leader of the wizards and an arrogant and dangerous foe. He realises that if you had not killed her so quickly you would have been lucky to survive. Her unusual face is a result of a terrible ritual she performed to inhabit the body of her own granddaughter. In her robes Orvex finds a spellbook, a bag of valuable gems and a puzzle cube. It is Unkh's puzzle cube - from the shrine they found that had already been looted. You try and find the chultan warriors, but they have left through the back of the complex and can't be found. You head north through some very overgrown streets and find yourself in another plaza. An overturned wagon lies on the street ahead. Rotting flower petals litter the ground around it, and bees nest in its broken wheels. A freshly cut garland of jungle flowers hangs from the wagon's tongue. You look underneath the wagon and find a mossy stone disk. It is covered with arcane symbols that make Orvex think it is some sort of extra dimensional key. It also has concentric rings of inscriptions covering its surface—some written in Common and others etched in jagged cuneiform. The messages are the same in both languages: "Queen Napaka proclaims that the free people of Omu fear nothing. Brave new gods protect us, as Ubtao did before but does no longer. Omu will rise again, and Napaka shall reclaim all that is hers by right of conquest." You head east and through an archway into an old manor house. In front of the manor are 3 large pits, filled with human bones. You head into the house. It is deserted, but totally undisturbed. Weshtek and Selu are happy to start looting artworks and small sculptures they find. However you find the place very spooky and don't stay long. You head east again and back over the main plaza, entering another massive building. At the far end of a some sort of old warehouse or mall you see a group of kobolds huddled over something. However they note you entering and flee out the other end. You cannot discern what they were looking at. You go to follow them but as you exit the other end of the building you see another shrine directly ahead of you. Carvings of monkeys hanging by their tails decorate two cracked obelisks that stand before a shrine enclosed by broken walls. Past the obelisks is a courtyard filled with horsetails and arum lilies. Five archways open into darkness at the base of the ruin. Mounted above the central arch is a stone plaque bearing a cuneiform inscription. The inscription above the central arch is written in Old Omuan and reads as follows: "Better to be Wongo's friend than his enemy." You note that all except the central passage have raised portcullises, the central passage being totally open. As you pass through the obelisks you hear in your heads a cocophony of shrieking monkeys, but this passes quickly. You enter the central passage and explore. A ten-foot-tall stone statue of an evil-looking monkey balances on its tail atop a stone dais in the middle of this twenty-foot-high chamber. The statue's limbs are splayed, with hands and feet cupped. On the wall behind, a sculpted relief shows a monkey-like creature tearing into a giant serpent. Cuneiform inscriptions are carved above and below the relief. Four masks of painted stone protrude from the walls; they depict the heads of a lion, a zebra, a boar, and a vulture. The wall relief shows the trickster god Wongo (a su-monster) fighting his hated enemy, Moa (a jaculi). Inscriptions in Old Omuan explain how Moa betrayed Wongo to the god Ubtao. On the base of the statue you find the message (in Omuan) uncovers the following inscription written in Old Omuan: "Wongo's friend knows where to pour the water." You explore the other passages and find yourselves behind the heads of the other masks. You examine all four: Lion Mask . The inscription above this mask reads, "I ate one of the boar's friends." You peer through the mask and see a ray of blue light falling from the ceiling onto the right hand of the statue in the main room. Boar Mask. The inscription above this mask reads, "The vulture is lucky to be alive." Through this mask, you see a ray of blue light falling onto the left foot of the statue. Zebra Mask. The inscription above this mask reads, "My only friend starved to death." Through this mask, you see a ray of blue light falling onto the right foot of the statue. Vulture Mask. The inscription above this mask reads, "One of the others has no friends." Through this mask, you see a ray of blue light falling onto the left hand of the statue. After much puzzling you finally work out that the boar is Wongo's only friend. Orvex heads into the main room to pour some water into the left foot of the statue. As he starts Trayzeal suddenly shouts "The Vulture, it's the vulture", but it is too late. The water fizzes and steams and transform into steam mephits. As the rest of you rush into the room, the mephits summon more mephits and battle ensues. The mephits are defeated and then Orvex pours water into the left hand of the statue. As the water is poured into the statue's cupped left hand, Wongo's puzzle cube appears by magic on the statue's head and Orvex hears a disembodied voice say, "Take the prize and curse your friends, or fight my children to claim it. What is your choice?"  "Fight", yells Orvex, quite out of character, and suddenly four su-monsters are teleported into the room, clinging to the statue like startled children to a protective parent. The su-monsters leap down and attack. Another battle ensues, but eventually the last su-monster is defeated and you are able to claim the puzzle cube.
