Rob: Edgar Cayce --Morgana comes through the newly created portal between Earth and Avalon. She sees the forces of the Abyssal realms arrayed and begins to open a second rift to the Abyssal realms to destroy the human defenders. --King Arthur, seeing his half sister working her foul magic charges forth to attempt to stop her. --The demonic forces begin to push through their portal, approaching the UN forces lines. --The High Queen sees the outlay of magic by Morgana, and begins to cast a spell to alter the rift that Morgana is creating. --Zorka Yaga pushes toward the Rift. She tells her squad of Amazons that they are to charge through the portal in front of her, and circle around to flank the demons who will attempt to go through the new portal that is being created. --Seeing the new forces through his cameras, and by a vision of the possible outcome, Edgar Cayce sends a drone strike against Morgana. --Morgana, seeing Arthur charge continues to cast with one hand, while she stabs out at Arthur with the other hand. --Arthur is so focused on his goal, that the dagger draws near. Bombs drop on the two of them causing Arthur to flinch away, but saving him from the stabbing. --Flying demons pass over Zorka Yaga, heading toward the UN lines. The UN focuses on the flying demons, ignoring their ground based foes. --The High Queen wrests control of the spell from Morgana, and directs it to the UN command center. --Zorka Yaga continues to try to set herself up for the flanking maneuver, but is unable to get through the portal. --Edgar sends his reserve troups through the portal after he notices that a man in armor is fighting a witch with a knife. --Seeing human troops instead of demons come through the portal, Morgana flees from Arthur and the battlefield, leaving a curse behind her on Arthur. He will fail at the worst possible moment. --Arthur makes a final swing at Morgana, but loses control of Excalibur. It flies through the portal in front of him, and from there through the portal into the Abyssal realms. --The flying demons were a distraction. Great bruisers push through the portal and crash into the UN lines, opening a hole in them. --The High Queen moves toward Arthur, attempting to follow Morgana, but she escapes from the field. --Zorka Yaga moves into the UN command post. She sends her squad through as she moves to pick up Edgar Casey. "The front has fallen. We need to fall back." --Edgar is picked up by Zorka Yaga and carried through the portal toward Arthur and the High Queen. --Arthur looks toward the Amazons entering from the portal and waits. --Energies begin to swirl around the Abyssal portal. A tornado of energy rises toward the sky, as more and more demons pour through the rift. --The High Queen calls out: "Zorka Yaga, I name you queen!" as she thrusts a dagger into her own heart, sacrificing herself to power a spell. The rift to the Abyssal realms dissipates and the power fades. --Zorka Yaga falls to her knees in sorrow. --Edgar Cayce walks over to Arthur and introduces himself while offering his hand. --Arthur grabs him at the wrist and completes the introduction. ( CE )With the loss of Excalibur and the waning of King Arthur's power in Avalon, a mutant fox dons the mantle of Robin Hood and begins to fight against the rising evil forces, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. ( AE )In an effort to combat demons, and all other transdimensional foes, a group called Anthropocentric Resistance of Trans-Dimensional Agression and Control. Simplified to ARTAC for common use. ( SE )Queen Zorka Yaga of the Amazons sends out Insurgent forces into South America in an effort to prevent the spread of demonic hordes. ( SE )It is revealed to the leadership of ARTAC that one of the co-founding members of the group, Edgar Case, was subject to visions. He foretold that Wormwood would attempt to break through to earth. He proceeded to describe the nature of that hellscape that is Wormwood. ( CE )Due to the power coming from Avalon through the portal, ARTAC uses the portal to Avalon as a catalyst in their spell to seal off the Forgotten Shard. ( SE )The borders between the Forgotten Shard and Everything else were closed to prevent further incursions into earth. Due to the imbalance in magical power between the Forgotten Shard and the rest of the multiverse pressure began to build within the shield that had been erected. Because the shield originated on earth, when the pressure grew too great, ley lines erupted all over, and within, earth. Where they crossed nexuses and rifts formed and began ripping the world apart. ( SE )A confluence of ley lines caused a greater nexus in St. Louis, Missouri in the United States. This greater nexus was directly under the St. Louis arch. While on a vacation with his family, Joseph Oldham was at the arch at the exact moment that the greater rift opened. The power ripping through the area killed everyone except for Mr. Oldham. He was irrevocably changed by the event. ( CP )Global Communications Failure. Society begins to fail. ( SE )The argentinian military begins to raid civilian tech sources for resources including guns and food. ( SSc )Why did the military start to raid civilians? Craig : Time (demon army in Brazil). --After a heated interrogation of Mr. Benito by Mr. Cortez, the quartermaster revealed that he had been skimming profits from the supply system for years, reducing the level of the supplies to a dangerous level. Mr. Benito blamed this on being seduced by a succubus. --Mr. Cortez revealed this to Gen. Villa and Gen. Mata. Seeing an opportunity to finally gain more power in the country, Gen. Villa, the mistress of Gen. Mata, she worked up documents that would conscript the civilian populous into the war with the demons. After she popped a few buttons on her top, she handed the documents to Gen. Mata to sign, assuming he would be too busy to read the documents putting her in charge of the new conscript army. --Much to her dismay, and eventual pleasure, Gen. Mata did read the documents. In fact, he expanded the orders to include confiscating supplies from civilians and all the local technology companies. --There were some rumblings that Mrs. Mata, tired of her cheating husband, may have slept with a gringo with the name Andrew. ( CE )Percival, his younger brother Lamorak, and Gareth, three Knights of the Round Table were trapped on Rifts earth following the closure of the first Avalon Portal. Upon hearing rumors of a summoner in Germany, they head there to stop them. ( SE )The German summoner, unbeknownst to the heroes that gathered to stop him, successfully summoned the Vampiric Intelligence Vladapar. ( CE )General Mata, because of pushback from civilians, and their attempt to prevent the Argentinian Government taking technology, changes the government to a dictatorship. ( ASc )Dictated: Was MOM a real person? Where: Buenos Ares, Argentina. --General Villa went to get the Mind Over Matter (MOM) tech at the direction of General Mata. She took soldiers with her. --Merita Olga Metzli, the CEO of MOM Corp, had her soldiers hold the building as she went and uploaded herself to the controlling computer. --After much loss of life on both sides, General Villa acquired the tech. ( AE )True Atlanteas use the heavy MOM tech use by the Argentinians as an excuse to invade. ( AE )Atlanteans spread from Argentina to the rest of South America and seize control. ( AE )After taking the rest of South America, as the arrived on the west coast of Chile, they began to find eggs along the shore. As they continued to explore, they found a Mokoloi colony on the Galapagos Islands. ( CP )The Rise of Magic ( AE )The two largest ley lines form the poles of the earth. The first is the Axis Line and runs from the north pole to the south pole through the center of the earth. The second is the Magnetic Line and runs from magnetic north through the center of the earth to magnetic south. The magnetic line shatters at both ends and rises into the magnetosphere. In the center of the earth is a nexus. The primary rift to Avalon was found to be located here. ( SE )Splugorth love affairs are to be feared by all, but one lead to the discovery of a weakness that all splugorth share. The lover of Lord Splyncryth, a splugorth by the name of Vlyncryth, continued to write love letters back and forth with Splyncryth when he/she/it began to take Africa as his/her/its own. The stationery that was used cut the splugorth, causing him/her/it to bleed.( CE )It is known that Vlyncryth first entered Africa at this time and he/she/it is the lover of Splyncryth. ( SE )Dante Pettis, George Kittle, Joe Staley, and a traveler from an earth like world Lucy Heartfillia, discover the powers of the curse of Cain by accident. They ate the hearts of supernaturals. Their power seems to be linked to Wormwood in some as yet unknown way. ( SE )The Angel of Death and her Brodkil attack and kill Vladapar. He may still exist in the multiverse. ( CE )The Nation of CriolFunk, located in Asia, are the descendants of Willie, a Vampire from the Blood War, and Old Greg. They have all become Energy Vampires. Due to the immunity that the MOM implants grant them, they have declared all crazies to be enemies of the state and will kill them on sight. ( AP )Wormwood's Incursion into Rifts Earth. ( AE )The first rift appeared in Calgary, Albert, Canada. It was through this rift that Wormwood first made an appearance. While that hadn't been the initial reason the rift formed, they did make use of the weakness in the walls of reality to use it to punch through the shield erected by ARTAC and entered our reality here. They established their primary foothold in our world here. ( AE )The wild psi-stalker tribes of the north, realizing the danger posed by Wormwood, decided to join together to fight the forces of Wormwood. Their intent was to push Wormwood back through the portal. ( SE )Lord Coake and a large force of Cyber-knights joined with the Psi-stalkers to fight the forces of Wormwood in calgary. They began to be successful and pushed wormwood back toward the rift. ( AE )The success of the forces of Lord Coake and the Psi-stalker tribes had been a trap. Wormwood rushed from the surrounding countryside around the rift, surrounding the forces of Lord Coake in moments, cutting him and his Cyber-knights off from their allies. Half of Lord Coake's Cyber-knights were killed before they could break free from the ambush. ( CSc )Dictated. What happened to save Lord Coake? Where: Calgary on the approach to the Rift. Characters: Victor: Lord Coake. --In a famous speech, even if people are unsure of where or when it occurred, Lord Coake stood up in the midst of the battlefield and called for the heroism of his soldiers. The rousing speech drew forth the utmost from his Cyber-knights and they won, pushing back the forces of Wormwood. ( SE )To ensure that Wormwood couldn't press an advantage on the weakened Cyber-knights, a golden spruce seed was planted at the foot of Mount Rundle which was coaxed into being a Millenium Tree. The trees power sealed the rift for use by Wormwood. ( SE )Unfortunately, it was all plans within plans. Wormwood had never needed to hold onto the rift, as this was simply their first foothold. The forces fought as though desperate to distract the psi-stalkers and Cyber-knights. It worked. None of the armies there arrayed even suspected that Wormwood had a second foothold, or that they had allowed themselves to be defeated. ( SE )Wormwood established their second foothold firmly in China. ( SE )As Wormwood loses control of the first rift, a free-for-all ensues for control over the power it represents. This rift connects not only to other worlds, but beyond the shield locking earth into the Forgotten Shard. ( AE )A disease begins to afflict Atlantean women rendering them barren. ( CE )The Aerihman clan accuses Amazons of being the source of the disease. Currently no known cases of the disease among Amazons. Further broadens the schism. They are doing this to throw shade, and some rumors exist that they might be behind the disease. ( CP )Creation and Growth of the Coalition ( SE )They say that the winners write the history, and never is that more true than with the beginning of the Coalition. A group of like-minded individuals in Chi-town, a walled city that had grown up where Chicago was in the old world, formed a Coalition Council to more unify their various political factions in the city. ( SE )A new AI controller, called POP was developed by the CS, and was used as the core of a new MOM 2.0 program. ( SE )Because some of the AI code that was used for POP was stolled from the original MOM AI, the MOM 2.0 army that the CS created went into revolt against the CS causing the CS to abandon MOM 2.0. There is still some distrust for other, non 2.0 crazies in the CS. ( CP )The Siege of Tolkeen ( SE )A demon army led by a human with dark skin wielding a sword called Excelsior (the corrupted Excalibur) comes through a portal near Tolkeen. They begin to perform acts of despicable evil as they travel across the world. ( SE )Upon the defeat of the wielder of Excelsior, it is revealed that a demon lord, Necrom, inhabits the sword and can take over the minds of anyone who tries to wield it. ( AE )During a battle between the CS and Tolkeen's defenders a meteor shower falls. From the craters caused by these falling rocks Greater Titan scouts emerge and begin to spread across the globe. ( SE )During the siege of Tolkeen, an already weakened Coalition army fractured as a group of Psychics lead a rebellion against the army's leadership. Brother turned against brother, friends and lovers threw eldritch energies at each other as sides were taken, and fighting broke out. The rebellion was put down, but it would have lasting consequences. ( AE )Mystical version of the Mind Over Matter cybernetic implants is developed by Genma Ikari. The formation of the Magic 'Wackjob' corps leads to Tolkeen winning the war. ( CE )A group of Atlanteans find a Dragon hatchery and try to protect it. Elder dragons consider this interfering. Relations between those races degrades. ( CE )Coalition film crew, trying to film the triumph of the CS over Tolkeen, one of the primary shots they get before they flee for their lives is of an Atlantean woman leading the charge against the forces of the CS. The image of this tall and powerful Amazon Tatooed Warrior has been seen all throughout NA. This is part of the CS psyche that the Atlantean caused the fall. ( CP )Rise of the Judges in the Coalition States ( SE )An examination is established by Lord Coake for all who would become Judges. Lord Coake asked one thing of those who would Judge the truth of another's actions: Judge his behavior during the attack on the Wormwood rift in Calgary. Using all that they knew, including hindsight and information that was not then known to Lord Coake, they would have to determine his guilt or innocence in the actions that had cost him half of the Cyber-knights under his command. The only people who are aware of this exam are Lord Coake, and every standing Judge in the Cyber-knight Judge Corps. ( SE )In the the wake of the failing resources of the Coalition a town in a Protectorate Territory of the Coalition States falls into a dispute that threatens to blossom into bloodshed. The Coalition military is simply stretched too thin to be able to step in and force the two sides away from the brink. An unnamed Cyber-knight Judge, a D-Bee, happened to be wandering near the town. This Judge heard both sides of the dispute and offered a resolution that was acceptable to both sides. Word spread about the wisdom of this Judge, and soon the symbol of a Judge became synonymous with mediation. Judges are first treated as Judges and not D-Bees or Cyber-knights in Coalition States. ( CE )A Judge, Bob Loblaw, and a group of other Judges form Citadel Cities all across the globe. These Citadels are a source of knowledge, in the form of vast libraries, training for prospective Judges, and protection from the wilds outside their walls. ( CE )Guilds begin to be formed to combat the rise of non-law related jobs the Judges do not fulfill. Trend continues worldwide. ( AE )A prophecy about the coming of Greater Titans to the world happens. In addition to this, there comes knowledge that Gungnir can kill them. ( CE )The first guild to be created is Zenith's Dawn. They are still the strongest guild today. ( AE )The guild NERV forms, but is content to remain in the shadows. Only those who know to seek them out can find them. ( AE )Banished Atlanteans begin to find homes in the New Wild West that has taken over all of Australia. ( CP )The first Attacks of Greater Titans ( CE )The first attack by Greater Titans happens in New Tokyo. Even though there is strong resistance, the entire city is turned into a crater that fills with seawater. ( SSc )Dictated: What happens during the fall of New Tokyo? Dictated by Tagg. --During the confusion of the fall of New Tokyo, the Consortium takes over the military, hoping to change the direction of the fight. They fail to defeat the Greater Titans, but retain control over Japan. ( CE )Stragglers from the Attack on New Tokyo, including those Greater Titans that were simply not fast enough, turn aside from their path and attack a town on an island in the Philippines. Villagers in the town form the very first psychic gestalt. The being was named Tagapagtanggol (Protector) ( CE )Because of rumored attacks by Greater Titans in Arkansas a large group of unaffiliated Adventurers gather. The larger portion of these Adventurers are Crazies. They form a company entirely out of Crazies and call themselves Crazy Tactics. ( CE )Some underground/dark guilds begin to form. Two notable dark guilds that formed at this time were Dark Magic and Crossfire. Any guild dedicated to Necromancy is always dark. ( SSc )Dictated: Who controls the electronic job boards for the guilds? Where: North America, Coalition States. --Silas Ibarial, the POP lead programmer, was publicly fired, but privately started new project. Assassinates guild board leaders and then co-opts their boards. Clones of the former board mediators are put in place to allay suspicion. ( AE )The Sculptors were formed. They are an Anti-Judge guild. They formed to purge Judges who overstep their bounds. Never-melting Ice Sculptures are left on each Judge they kill. ( AE )A group of diminutive folk gather to kill a titan with their tech and knowledge. After their success their form a guild called Micra. ( AE )The NGR in an effort to prevent Greater Titan losses create the Super Jagers. ( CE )The Bearded One, during an attack by Greater Titans on Stormspire is turned and becomes a Titan for Good. ( AE )Greater Titans are unable to get a foothold in Mexico and Central America due to the Vampires there. Emboldened by their victory, and still unable to pass by the Legacy of Cain to the north, invade South America. ( C )The rise of the Irregulars ( CE )Castle Refuge founded (as per book canon) ( CE )Crazy Tactics, now a legion, forms a chapter house in Castle Refuge. ( CE )Lord Coake personality interface for the MOM implants is developed. He is rumored not to be happy about it. ( CE )The dwarves of Castle Refuge love the idea of guilds so much that the codify the rules for the creation and governing of guilds. They also form the Council of Guild Leaders. ( CE )The Runners 'Guild' is formed to share jobs between guilds. They have the power to decide who gets what jobs, and as with all power, some runners have become corrupt. Some of the jobs they parse out are electronic across the electronic job boards, but many are still paper requests, hence their name as Runners. ( CE )The Irregulars is formed as a 'non-guild' by the Council of Guilds out of all those that refuse to join a guild. ( SE )The Guild Council begins to hear rumors of the corruption of the job boards and the Runner's Guild, and so they hire the Irregulars to get to the bottom of the rumors. ( AE )The Tide of the Titan War has turned. They have begun to develop abnormal abilities. only their weakness can be used to defeat them. An entire town was changed into titans. Titans are now appearing more regularly. ( AE )In an effort to fight back against the Greater Titans, a town captures one and applies MOM implants into it, to try to control it. ( CE )A signal is sent out using the old communications network. The signal can be tracked back to one of the old communications satellites. A man flying in space introduces himself as Clark Kent and gestures to the silhouette of a large spear in front of the moon. He declares that this can be used to save the earth. He is a Cosmo Knight. ( CE )There begins to be rampant fear of the Titans succeeding in their war due to the guild corruption. There is a rumor that begins to spread that the people behind all of the corruption are aiding the Titans. ( CE )Due to advances by the Atlanteans in magic and/or tech the Vampire advance is currently halted in Panama at the canal. ( AE )Spugorth are aware of the end game of the RIFT events and the group that is trying to achieve it. They have begun diplomacy with the Coalition and others to counter this but have realized that the Atlanteans (and Amazonians) will never cooperate and thus have developed a modern form of "small pox blankets" and have begun deployment to dwindle numbers to avoid any interference with defeating the end game.
