Text tool not working.

Hey, I'm getting the exact same issue that this guy is getting here in Chrome. https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/6824708/text-tool-issues Clearing browser cache doesn't do anything. Only happening in Google Chrome, but has been messed up for the past two weeks or so. This in conjunction with https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/7292522/so-i-mean-dot-dot-dot-how-long-is-this-going-to-take-middle-mouse-button-panning-still-broken-dot/?pageforid=7292522#post-7292522 this issue is really making me want to stop using Roll20. I'm not trying to be an irate customer who is threatening to leave, I'm just... frustrated, and despairing that any of this will get fixed, since most of the responses I got in the previous thread were basically "I dunno hopefully some strangers will fix it..." which aren't, you know... reassuring... at all... So yeah. Two things broken now. Making it harder and harder to keep using Roll20 for games. Not really sure what to do at this point. I could switch to Firefox, but the middle mouse button scroll is broken there for me as well as in Chrome, and there's even another special little fun thing broken for me in Firefox, which is the zoom function on the left. If I click the magnifying glass and then click on the zoom percentage, it immediately closes the drop down menu. So firefox is just as frustrating to use as Chrome is now. I dunno. This sucks.

It's a problem that occurred with one of the most recent releases of Chrome. I'm not sure what can easily be done about it. Have you tried the workaround given in the thread you linked? I had success with that, but not today for some reason. If you have an already existing text object, they are easy to copy, paste and edit. I know it's not optimal, but it might squeak you through until Chrome or Roll20 changes something.
Yeah I tried the workaround, not working for me. I'm doing the copying and pasting option already, but thanks... it's definitely a lot easier than wrestling with the unwieldy text box not staying open otherwise, though.
Hello Zwig, Sorry to hear that you are having these issues. To rule out potential issues, can you make certain that you turn off all extensions/addons and see if these issues still persists in both Firefox and Chrome? If so, please thoroughly work through all of Step 4 . (Don't forget the complete Console Log!) I have gone ahead and passed this information along to the devs. Thanks.
Okay, I thoroughly worked through all of Step 4. Hope something happens.
Hello again Zwig, Can you please verify if you were able to turn off all extensions and see if the issue persists in both Chrome and Firefox? Additionally, can you provide us all of the information in Step 4 which includes the Console Log? Thanks!
Yep, I did that here: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/7376219/text-tool-not-working-and-pushing-the-middle-mouse-button-in-to-pan-doesnt-work/?pageforid=7376219#post-7376219
Hello Zwig, Thank you for that information. I have linked this thread on that thread. As such, I will go ahead and close this post.
