Drop a shield from the compendium onto your character sheet. In your inventory, rename the shield "Warforged Armor". Click the small circle on the right of the inventory entry to expand the entry. Change the weight to 0. Change the AC bonus from 2 to whatever your proficiency is. If your proficiency ever goes up, change the AC bonus to your new proficiency. Use Ziechael's method.

You could also enable the global AC mod section in the misc menu and add a section to that called Warforged Armour with a value equal to your proficiency. Sadly neither option accepts attribute calls so you'll need to remember to manually update every n th level.

I was looking for the global AC modifier on the settings page, but that is now a "Show Global AC Modifier" check box on the upper-right of the settings page. That opens the ability to add AC modifiers on the Core page.
