"Starting Point" on a new map page

Hello - new user and new DM to the VTT system, but I and my group have been playing for over 15 years. I'm currently working on our first map to transition to this system as it gets harder and harder to get together in person for gaming sessions. My question is related to where the VTT screen goes when a player first logs in to a session. I've been switching back and forth from DM to Player view in the map I'm working on, and each time I switch to player view, I'm no where near the token I've placed on the board. Will players that have been assigned to a token be in the same situation (potentially dropping their main viewpoint in the middle of nowhere)? Or is there a way to set a "starting point" for all players in the group to get the same view area on a map? Thanks!

Everyone's view is set to the top left of the tabletop when a new page is loaded. To get the players' view to center around a certain area, hold down the Shift key while left clicking and holding down on the desired location on the map. This is what we call "Shift Pinging" and it will redirect everyone to where you want them to be on the page.
Hmm I will give that a try. Wish there was a token or something we could hide that would automatically do that when the page is loaded.
That would be possible with the API.

Also, rather than repeatedly switching between player and GM view I suggest opening two tabs, one in player view and one in GM view.
