Looking for Players. New World of Darkness chronicle: The Long Hunt

Looking for 4 to 6 players. New players are entirely welcome. I only ask that players are mature and patient. I am entirely new to this website but I have decades of table top gaming experience. I am super serious about the patience. Please don't expect a session right away. I want to get to know my players a bit first, and you should want to get to know me. Then we will work through character building, preludes, troupe prelude. I absolutely have a story, theme, plot, endgame... but the details are up to us. Not just me alone. Nothing is set in stone as of yet.
Id definitely be interested, im new to this experience as well but id love to give it a shot
my discord is Lukedgibbons#9812, my psn is lukedgibbons. Either one works for me!
Greetings! I too have much experience in table top gaming, but I am new to this game. I recently purchased the VtM v5 book and have been reading it daily. I'd like to join your game, discord: Cinnic#2678.
Hi there :) I am also interested in this although I know very little about WoD. My discord is munshee#9779
It has been a while since I have played a WoD, I am interested. Dawi#8901
I’m very interested as well, depending on the day and time of the sessions. My discord link is TheKT#7867. Hope to hear back from you.
Alright, sounds good. I’ll talk to you tomorrow then. Have a good night.
A Letter to Those who Seek. I fear... Though your passion for knowledge, your absolute need to find truth, inspires me to continue. There are some secrets... that will only lead to even deeper mysteries. They will disappoint you. Yet, I know you. I know all of you. You are too stubborn to heed these warnings. For it is not actually secrets you seek is it? It is The Secret. The reason behind it all. Let's say you find it... What then? There are some secrets... that should not, must not ever, be less than a mystery. There are some secrets... that will devour you.
Still looking for more players. I hate to sound cold-hearted, but a couple of prospects have been declined. Not because they did anything wrong. From the beginning I have had a test in mind. The declined players have failed the test. No shame in it, it's not an easy test. I wish them luck in finding a group that fits them. No, I will not reveal the test. That would defeat it's purpose. No, the previous post is not a clue to the test. That is just flavor for my story.
I'm interested. My discord is j4m#5256
There is temporarily only 1 player slot left. Unless I don't hear anything from some of the people on the current roster.
Player with a comfortable amount of experience in 5e, here. If you're still looking for another prospective player, perchance hit me up with a DM. I am very flexible on party role (I'm a flex player in most team games and have many character ideas and no problem having to use a specific one that fits the setting/party needs) and work well in groups.
I sent a private message, not exactly sure if that's what you meant by DM. I'm extremely new to this site,and not very up to date on lingo here... or in any forums for that matter.
A few discrepancies in my wording choices for this chronicle have been brought to my attention. When I say New, I don't mean nWoD. I just mean a newly built story. The actual rules set is still in a state of flux. This is just a, as of yet, loosely designed WoD story. The lore I know is from The old World of Darkness. 2nd edition. The rules I know are also from the 90's era game. Though, I am becoming familiar with 5th edition rules. I completely skipped over the Chronicle of Darkness era. Though, I have told my players that this is -our- game, -our- rules. I am willing to implement anything that may simplify things for all involved. Though, when it comes to lore. I will be using ideas from those 90's era books, and certain things that may have changed for 5th edition. So it's Camarilla, Anarchs, Sabbat. Traditions and Technocracy. Etc.Etc. Hopefully, that will clear up some confusion. I apologize for my unintentionally misleading choice of words.
Two player spots are still open. Have 4 people at the moment, looking for 6 total. Though the game may get started with 4. I will not have a problem bringing a new player in to the fold.
Completely new to WoD but I am very much inerested in learning. Would like to know what I would be stepping into as well as genre and theme of game as well as you GMing style. Discord is in my bio still I believe. Feel free to send me a message.
Hi there. I'm interested in what you have to offer. I've years of experience in tabletop rpg's ( I'm 41 now) and am keen to get into some World of Darkness. I've only played a few hours of Vampire and that was quite a few years ago now... Will definitely need some help with character creation and games mechanics (since I don't have any WoD corebooks) but I'm not afraid of the challenge. Should also note I'm in GMT timezone. Discord is: Paul 77. Thanks
I'm sorry, someone else got to me first in a private message. The 6 slots are now filled. At least temporarily. That could always change. In fact, if this story runs well, I may start a second side-story. I may even alternate players when someone else can't make a session for some reason. I don't want to overload myself though. So, if you'd like, I'll add you in discord. I'm just not yet sure what's going to be able to happen. I have 5 players who, I am pretty sure, are all from the states, and 1 who is from Europe, so that may end up being a problem with time zones. Everything is so up in the air at the moment. I literally just joined this site 5 days ago. I absolutely have a story but there are quite a few logistical kinks to iron out. I apologize for ranting at you a bit there, just trying to get as much information to you as I can. So again, if you still want me to send a discord invite, I will. I just can't promise anything involving the story yet. As a random side note. I'm 41 as well :}
That's ok, no problem. Could invite me on discord. Never know what will happen in future. If anything becomes viable do give me a shout and we'll see if timezones and players permit. Thanks for getting back. All the best.
Again seeking 3 new players. Had a full group of 6. 2 left because they didn't like a mixed group dynamic. 1 left to join the military. The game is a homebrew of Old World of Darkness. Very vampire-centric, but I will allow any splat if the player is willing to work with me to incorporate them into the group. We play mostly every saturday evening EST. Though there is plenty of opportunity for other times. Several solo sessions have already been run as well. I, the storyteller, have a very flexible schedule. So I am willing to work around and with the players as much as I can. DM me if interested, or with any questions. I check the roll20 site 4-5 times a day. So a response shouldn't take too long. Here is the link to the lfg listing for some info on the story: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/167127/the-long-hunt
Hello Teller of Tales, I just wanted to let you know that campaign links, which take the form of https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/1234567/... links people to the 'Game Details' page for a game and are not able to be seen by anyone not in the game. By default such a link is only visible to players already in the game, and only Plus and Pro subscribers can make their games visible to the public . As such, a LFG Listing link, which takes the form of https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/1234567/BlahBl... and links people to the LFG Listing for your game, is the link we suggest you use. You get this link by creating a LFG Directory Listing . This is the desired link to share for pretty much every purpose one can think of. Even if you do not enable it for viewing in the LFG Directory you can share the link with others and have a separate Listing Discussion forum just for those potentially interested in your game. As a bonus, anyone who posts to your game's Listing Discussion forum will have a big blue button by their username and all a GM has to is click 'Invite to Game' and an invitation will be sent their way. An example of a game that is not enabled is https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/100394/testing-mctesterson We hope this information helps. let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.
Ah, well thank you for the info. Now I feel sheepish... doubly so because I did actually know that. Just wasn't thinking when I made the post :}
