Getting to fancy for HTML?

Let me start by saying I barely know what I'm doing when it comes to HTML, I'm getting a good grasp of what I need to make this sheet I want to for a custom system. My main question is, if I make a drop down that would list the 'classes' you can be and have it effect a different section depending on whats chosen?  Example: There is a score that averages out 3 of your abilitys. If you are B class it takes Str, dex and wis, but if your X class it does Int, Con and Dex?

That sounds like you would write a sheetworker (javascript) to make these changes to the right parts, triggered by this one selected option. The bottom of the wiki page have links to several examples and guides to sheetworkers that are more helpful for most people. Character sheets are made with a combination of HTML, CSS and javascript, where the more complex things are done with the last one.
Thanks for the reply. I barely grasp HTML as it is, I don't think I can really dive into any other types of coding. Was just looking to see if there was a way to make something a little easier.

the advantage of this forum is that you dont have to do everything yourself. If you can tell us the list of classes and stat combinations for each, and also what the attribute names are for those stats, we can make the sheetworker that does the averaging for you. It'll also give you a practical example of a sheet worker to start getting to grips with them.

You could do this with a disabled field, I think.  Two disabled fields, one with a value of "@{whatever_you_named_strength) + @{whatever_you_named_dexterity} + @{whatever_you_named_wisdom}", and the other summed up the other way.  Have a radio button (a drop down might also work) with on value one disabled field, and the other...the...uh, other disabled field.  Pick you class by choosing the corresponding radio button (or drop down). Edit : and Andreas J. and GiGs are right.  Sheetworkers will work.  Sheet workers will also make this way neater, and has a host of other options, as well. Second and Third Edit : wrong names and wrong spelling.
Thanks for advice guys. I don't NEED it, it would have made things a little easier but I'm not worried about it (finally got the sheet looking how I want).
