Same here.  I was able to clear the messages on desktop, but on a tablet or mobile in Chrome nothing happens when I tap the delete or view message buttons.

This is probably related to the infrastructure update, and has been reported. Try checking your notifications while on a forum page, instead of while on the home page. That has worked for some folks.
