Problems with the drawing tools in the tutorial

I am new to D&D, DMing, and Roll20, but I'm trying this out to see if it will work to bring my family (scattered over the country) together to be able to play occasionally, but I'm already hitting snags in the tutorial so I'm feeling like I'm either stupid, blind, or this system won't work for me.  I captured the issues in screenshots, with the turquoise text being my comments added to the screenshot describing the issues.

For those who can't see the images: basically, I'm not getting a grid for the tabletop, and I can't add any drawings to the tabletop.  Not only does this freeze me in this place in the tutorial, it kind of seems like a deal breaker when it comes to the system in general.  I'm sure it USUALLY works, because it's so basic, but I can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong.
(and yes, that image is me.  I'm old and subject to epic bedhead.)

Apparently, this is a matter of the Editor not loading (since I'd never seen it before, I thought the never-changing 'Loading...' in the middle of the screen was supposed to be there.  Also, apparently, I'm dumb.), and is a bug reported earlier today and confirmed by Dev, so I'm just gonna wait here until it's fixed. :P

I do expect they will get around to fixing it before too long, but it has been broken for a while (one of their updates broke it).  You might want to check out a series of videos on the wiki.  It also has links to wiki articles dealing with things mentioned in the videos.  There may be some decent tutorials in youtube as well, but this will probably get you going:  https://wiki.roll20.net/Roll20_Crash_Course
