[LFP] Mage the Ascension: Every Thursday @ 7-11 Central

Established group down 2 players need replacement PCs. About to finish initial arc and willing to take on additional players. Message me or reply to join up. Submit character concepts here.
Just to avoid any confusion this is a World of Darkness game not Dnd.
*raises hand* I don't have any character concept right now, but I can play about anything :P
Think of a character terms concept and I'll throw it to my PCs to see if it is cohesive to the party
On top of my head, here are interesting characters idea to play: The Cult of Ecstasy (Life) - A botanist, raising, breeding and transforming all kind of plants for their special characteristics. The Celestial Chorus (Prime) - A Muslim Imam, always helping those in needs with their troubles. The Dreamspeakers (Spirit) - A technoshaman, calling upon this modern world crazy spirits, "Money", "Fame", "Music", "Internet", "Memes", etc.
How and where is your campaign positioned in the WoD? For instance, what date is it, are there major deviations from the canon (and *which* canon, since the differs from edition to edition), where in the physical world are the characters (and, presumably, their chantry) positioned, etc. It might be good to know a bit more about the campaign style before positing concepts.
Sure, that's fair. The game is based in 2019 Houston, the events of the End times in 1999 caused everyone in the horizon realms to be lost. It is unknown to the players if this means that everyone is dead or just cut off but nothing has come back as of yet. We are using Mage 20th anniversary edition. Currently the players are fighting a fomori who was created from the lost copy of a woman from the unethical use of time magic to preserve her until she could be cured of her cancer and an ooze creature who was created by Pentex to seek out oil in the ground. She has through her actions created a mass casualty incident that looks like a massive plant accident which is bathing the city of Houston, Texas in noxious gases as an offering to one of the Majin Incarnae and a bid for greater power. They will likely be finishing that arc tonight and the new one will be running next week (this why it's a great time to introduce new PCs). The players are ground level Mages at the moment but they are making allies now that will likely lead them away from their home city as they had their first taste of stuff outside of their immediate knowledge of mages and bigger organizations that pull the strings.
Question: What are currently the characters being played? As in their concepts and traditions? That way I know that I for a fact won't come up with a concept that is already being done in the group :)
So for this game we have Riley a student of tantric healing and he is currently following a road known only to him as" the journey" towards enlightenment and self perfection. Elizabeth is a young woman who has a genetic deformity where she is growing a horn in the middle of her head. She started growing this after she was almost consumed by one of the fallen while in a coma but was able to overcome this by retreating into the dream realm and making friends with one of the ephemeral beings there and through the power of friendship her avatar manifested in the form of her savior who can be seen by her and a few others with the gifts to see it. Honestly you would be hard pressed to copycat anyone still in game.
For those of you familiar with the system, the both took pretty high avatar ratings.
Your players are pretty unique. XD Then again, this might be the game to be unique since... Magick!
Yeah...magick...lol
Out of curiosity: how do they interact with mundane society?
Currently they have been pretty well grounded in terms of keeping out of the eyes of the Sleepers. Mostly because they try to stay away from flashy effects. In the game thus far much of the city was sheltering in place because of the chemical plant disaster and when the characters were at a local police station everything that they tried to do ended up being coincidental. So they've done a pretty good job keeping up appearances. lol
Riley lives in a communal house with a bunch of other beautiful losers. Elizabeth maintains a cushiony existence as a librarian at a chantry so she has little need to interact with the public outside of taking public transportation to her apartment. It serves to be seen how Ward (Our newest PC) will handle interacting with the populace as he is a professor of Physics and has some zany ideas for how the world works.
I've sent a pm to you, Glenn.
