Disclaimer: I am a both fairly new to D&D and being a DM. Most of my experience comes from 1 or 2 games that were too homebrewed for my own liking and also watching multiple campaigns for the better part of 7 months. Also, I've currently only run one campaign. If you have a problem with this, then this campaign is, respectfully, not for you. That being said, player's of all experience are welcome. Synopsis The world of Xavend is no stranger to the endless cycles of peace, chaos, destruction, and reconstruction. From the ashes of those times sprang civilizations and settlements across the known lands of Xavend. Each with their own unique culture and way of life. Those with prestige, noble blood, or considerable ingenuity may find themselves attending the lavish balls held in the city of Gildnigh or tinkering/studying in one of the many grand institutes in Chemreich. In contrast, those with vinegar in their blood and grit under their nails may find themselves picking pockets in the floating city of Hightide or brawling in the Spired Arena at Irongain for glory and gold. That isn’t to say; however, that Xavend is not without its more “unrefined” cultures and peoples. Herds of savage barbarians maraud across lush grasslands while unlicensed privateers (pirates) take to the skies and seas alike to plunder and pillage the unfortunate. Even the occasional cult ruptures the veil between planes to allow their demonic tempters access to the Material. In most cases, paladins, vanguards, and clerics of notable orders and guilds attempt to reinstate and prolong the peace. While demoralizing for some, no one can wholly deny that these are some of the most peaceful of times on Xavend. Whether they truly believe it so, or just remain completely unaware of the slumbering evils that have yet to shatter that delusion. Link: Ascent of The Sanguine Martyr
