[LFG] 5e, Shadowrun, Savage Worlds, others - New to Roll 20

Hello readers who clicked my post, I'm brand new to Roll 20. I have drifted on here from time to time to see what it was all about but never got invested here because i played with a regular group IRL for years. That group has now dissolved, and I would like to try and rekindle that experience in an online setting. I am looking for a regular group of players for a game or a group that rotates games. I'd prefer the same group of people week-week instead of game hopping. Is that even a thing here? Because i'm married/have kids, i'm mostly available on weekends after 8pm EST. I might be able to swing a weeknight as well, but it would be 1 at most. I can do whatever voice software required/or cam if needed. I am BRAND NEW to Roll 20, so i'd appreciate some mentorship on the mechanics here. But, i get up to speed pretty quickly. As far as games, I have not played in 5e yet, but I would like to. I have played Hero (various genres), Gurps, Vampire, AD&D, Conan, and other various games in the past. I am open to learning new games. I am in my 40's, mature, prefer fun creative games, and really enjoy the creativity behind roleplaying.  If for some reason, that strikes a chord with a GM on here, or an existing group of players who are looking for an addition, please send me a note. Thank you! Michael
Hey Michael, Go ahead and check out the Roll20 Join A Game link and search for games in systems you are interested in on the days you can play.  Roll20 is very easy to pickup and use and you don't really need a mentor to get started.  Most GMs and groups are welcoming and supportive of new players. Outside of some living world settings, most games on Roll20 will be with the same group of players every session.  You won't be constantly be playing with strangers every time so you'll get a chance to build in character and out of character relationships.  Roll20 has a built-in voice chat system but most games use Discord to handle voice.  It's also super easy to pick up. TL;dr: Go ahead and jump in.  It's pretty painless
