Trapped In Tutorial!

June 10 (6 years ago)

Edited June 10 (6 years ago)

I am new to roll20 but my GM friend has created a game for us on here. I launched the game and could see custom background, previous player chat, list of characters etc. but then decided to check out the tutorial. From that point on when I launch any game on roll20, I'm immediately taken back to the tutorial game as GM and can not access the actual games I've launched. Please, how do I escape this endless loop?

- I have run through the entire tutorial, closed browsers, signed out...last resort is to make a new account and never touch the tutorial but that can't be the only solution surely.

What browser are you using?  Have you tried deleting cookies and clearing cache?

Are you getting to Roll20 through a bookmark? Check to make sure the game address isn’t in there. Also, try signing in through a Private Browsing window. That should eliminate most cache or extension problems.

Hello Brandon H.,

I am sorry to hear that you have encountered this issue with being stuck in the Tutorial.

Let us know if the information provided by Mark B. and keithcurtis help any.

Additionally, to rule out any other potential issue, please carefully work through these steps of our guide to Solving Technical Issues:

If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through Step 4(Don't forget the complete Console Log!)

Thank you!

The only thing that worked was running roll20 in chrome, must be cache issues etc with safari.

Hello Brandon H.,

Please be aware that Roll20 is only supported on Chrome and Firefox. It is not supported on Safari. As such, you may experience issues running it on any other browser.

As such, can you confirm that this issue has been resolved?

Thanks!
