My Curse of Strahd Game won't open.

Hello there. After a year of running this game without any problems, my Curse of Strahd game (which uses the marketplace module) will no longer open. Whenever I launch the game, the chat and avatars will appear, but the maps don't load; instead I get a black screen and the loading messages freeze after the first five and don't move beyond that. This is the only game that has this issue, as the other games I'm running are loading with no problems what-so-ever. I'm running my games on Google Chrome without extensions, I've cleared my cache, and I have tried making a copy of the game, but the issue persists. Does anyone have any advice for this?

I am having the same issue my other campaigns open fine - i was on the maps and it was working fine when i switched to the Werewolf den map it hung and i can no longer get the campaign open because it hangs and i cannot click on anything to try to switch pages etc -&nbsp; PLEASE ADVISE
UPDATE not sure if i am having the same problem as the above person but here is my latest update.&nbsp; After 12 min of clicking wait when prompted wait or leave page the map came up and a notice of lost connection to server in red came up but i was able to change pages.&nbsp; Changed to several other pages and no problems.&nbsp; &nbsp;Relogged and went back to the werewolf den and the program hung again - not sure if this is helpful but maybe it is the werewolf den page .
FURTHER UPDATE : was able to recreate the problem - after 10 min the map came up and i could switch to other pages and clicked on 10 -12 other pages with no problems but i will be avoiding the werewolf den page for a few days unless i see a fix on here-&nbsp; Not sure if it helps any Paschal D. , i know how annoying it is when trying to work on your game - hopefully you may be able to get it working , good luck&nbsp;

Thank you so much. Yeah it appears I had left the campaign on the Werewolf Den page. After waiting 15 minutes, the page finally loaded, so I could switch to another page and the campaign has worked great since. Given that my party is currently on the way to said Den, I guess it's time for me to make a new map to replace the map to avoid this issue (unless this bug can be patched out). Thanks again.

It might be worth opening the options to that map page (not while on that map) and turning off any lighting effects (dynamic lighting, etc.).&nbsp; Might be worth a shot to not have to remake the map if there is just something weird going on with the dynamic lighting layout or something.&nbsp; Then, if you can enter that map page in a normal amount of transition time, you know you just need to mess with possibly redoing dynamic lighting and npc token settings.
Paschal D i did some changes to the page settings as Kraynic advised - the best i can tell turning global illumination on on that page seems to hang the program so you could try turning it off and see if the page is accessible to you after that ( if you dont mind clicking wait for 15 min if i am wrong lol ) enjoy your game

I'm having severe lag that was server side (all our players experienced the same waves of disconnection at the same times, we have players from the east coast to the midwest, browsers and systems vary) while running CoS - Only CoS - and it wasn't just the werewolf page. I'm using the Firefox Browser.&nbsp; I'm also using both DL and AFoW - which seems to lag out this module as opposed to others I run.&nbsp; I, too, have copied it - I've even rebuilt it from the ground up and moved all my players over to it - and still the same happens. Our last game was Saturday, 6/15/19, 6pm to 10pm Eastern US time.&nbsp; We were having lag waves that made our game unbearably unplayable.&nbsp; Our average intervals were 20 secs uptime before 30-40 seconds of the yellow bar in the top of the browser, sometimes added to that was the red disconnect.&nbsp; I find myself hitting the API Restart Sandbox button regularly - just for 20 more seconds of uptime. Seeing this issue makes me wonder if there is something native to CoS - an update to the module or its coding - that is causing severe issues with passing bandwidth thresholds for browsers.&nbsp; My CoS load times are as ridiculous as the OP, but we actually get there in about 10 mins.&nbsp; I learned to treat entering my campaign as most people checked their email back in the 56k dialup AOL days: start it, grab a coffee, get a bathroom break in, make a sandwich ... come back, wait 2 minutes, your game will be ready. I'll get a console log next time this happens.&nbsp; But I think this was all Firebase or Roll20 server side - only because we all experienced the issue simultaneously.&nbsp; I was having it from 2am - 5am the same day when I was doing some work on the campaign, but I thought at that time it was just my equipment/ something I was doing.

If you are running both DL and AFoW, try turning off "Global Illumination" on the active page. There have been reports of that causing problems. Also, when running FF, Autofill and Autocomplete can cause delays whenever entering text into a field. It's probably worthwhile to turn those off.
Hi everyone, We were able to reproduce this on our end as well with a fresh copy of Curse of Strahd. It does seem connected to Global Illumination + Advanced Fog of War being active simultaneously on the Wolf Den map. Disabling one or the other seems to return performance in that instance. I have passed word along to the production team to get that corrected in a patch so new games do not run into the same issue. That said, Advanced Fog of War and global illumination are inherently at odds with one another and as it stands global illumination will negate Advanced Fog of War. However, the performance hit in loading the page is certainly not expected or intended and the developers have been notified and are investigating. Sorry for all of the trouble everyone!
