Copy and pasting text into GM notes doesn't keep HTML formatting any more

I had been using the GM notes to copy stuff from the Pathfinder SRD into tokens for quick lookup while playing. When I had first tried this a couple weeks ago, it kept all the HTML formatting. Now it doesn't keep anything but the links and often the text is malformed as well. Is this a bug?

Unfortunately, it is not a bug. The token GM notes section recently got updated to work the same way as all of the other website text. I have informed the Devs that this causes problems with stat blocks etc. and they are considering the issue. If you could detail exactly how this impacts you it will better help them formulate a solution. :) - Gauss
Well it wouldn't be so bad if it didn't delete random bits of the text! Here's a screen shot - SRD: http://i.imgur.com/R2TvJFc.png GM Info: http://i.imgur.com/VyYacSp.png

It should at least paste that text. I am unsure of why it deleted the text between Special Abilities and the Zombie Rot link. I will try to replicate this later tonight (I have to go GM for awhile now). - Gauss
Can you link to the original place where the text is from?
I beleive it came from here: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/undead/zombie/zombie-plague

I did some testing and it appears that it is the disease section that is not pasting correctly. If you paste the Disease section all by itself it pastes but it does not keep the correct formatting (everything is bolded). If you paste even one line from the previous (Death Burst) section then the Disease section gets that chunk taken out. Perhaps the HTML code in that section is what is causing the problem. Edit: I did some additional testing and it is Bolded text followed by a hyperlinked text that is the problem. I tried a number of other d20pfsrd statblocks and anytime there is a BOLD word before a Link it is not pasted correctly. Since the disease section posts entirely in bold (incorrectly) everything that is incorrectly bolded is cut off prior to the linked word. - Gauss
similar to my situation ?
Seems like a related issue in how the text box handles HTML tags. I hope they do something about the broken HTML pasting. It used to be super convenient, but now it takes me much too long to copy and paste sections individually and then have to play with the formatting so it's actually readable.

YESSA!
+1 to this. I have a similar issue pasting from the SRD Original Text: http://screencast.com/t/jVXJXYBLsD7e Link to Original Text: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/ettin.htm How it looks once pasted into Roll 20: http://screencast.com/t/zSNG0InPtT Pasting into a google doc helps a bit but then seems to delete cells in the stat block: From Google Doc: http://screencast.com/t/eBvvlheV in Roll 20: http://screencast.com/t/BRCRnRbL2RnG The giant text at the top isn't so bad, I could just delete that but note how the "AC section" seems now to be missing data.

Matt R-K, I have re-opened the old bug report and updated it. Thank you for clearly demonstrating the problem. - Gauss
Of course! There is a semi-workaround. If you paste into Word (if you have Word) it seems to solve the issue where tables are offset.
