Help needed

Hi can someone help please. My daughter is looking to get into D&D and I want to know how she might be able to do this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Help her join the Stranger Things starter set game listed here in the forum.  It's meant to be a game for beginners.

Also, find a local game store will help you meet local players.  As there are many virtual tabletops to play on RPGs are still a pen and paper game at heart and what I'd say 90% of the community still prefers.

You can also use the Join A Game menu item to reach the  Find Games to Join  page (also called Looking For Group, LFG) and search for D&D 5E with the checkbox  Only find games that welcome new players  checked.
In reference to what WarAdmiral said, visit&nbsp; <a href="http://classic.locator.wizards.com/#brand=dnd" rel="nofollow">http://classic.locator.wizards.com/#brand=dnd</a> &nbsp;and type in your postal code. It will come up with a list of the places that host officially sponsored Dungeons and Dragons games. The content of those is generally pretty PG (with occasional dips into PG-13 territory). Those games most frequently occur on Wednesday evenings, but sometimes on other days. They divide players into different Tiers based on experience and character progression so if you tell them that she is new to the game they will put her with players who have character that are level 1 to 4 and generally a more patient GM who will take the time to explain things to her.

Hello Dave S., The above suggestions are great for getting started.&nbsp; However, the Roll20 forums are for games being played on Roll20. The&nbsp; Intended Use &nbsp;clause of the&nbsp; Code of Conduct &nbsp;states: The Roll20 Forums exist to discuss topics directly relating to the Roll20 program and systems. Anything that could more fittingly be discussed on another site should be discussed there. Infringement of this section is subject to moderation action as outlined by the Moderation Policy. As such, I am going to close this thread. Here are some good places to discuss this topic: /r/rpg /r/dnd /r/LFG We thank you for your understanding. If you would like to submit an appeal, you may contact the devs at&nbsp; <a href="mailto:Team@Roll20.net" rel="nofollow">Team@Roll20.net</a>. Thanks!
