Clarification on Custom Character Sheet use after subscription expires?

June 21 (6 years ago)

Hello! I was interested in purchasing a monthly premium subscription in order to create character sheets for a game not supported by Roll20's character sheets, however before doing so well in advance of the intended start of this campaign I wanted to clarify something about using these character sheets. A search of the archives tells me that these character sheets will remain after the subscription time runs out, but that the character sheet can't be edited until it's renewed. Does this only apply to the character sheet template, meaning that the given fields can't be changed after but players and the GM can edit information within said fields, or does this mean that information and macros within custom character sheets can't be changed either so, for example, a player couldn't change their name or do a level up within the Roll20 server or add macros to their sheet? Also, would it then be possible to add new sheets in that template to players' or the GM's notes, so long as I don't expect to change the code of it?

Hope that's clear. Thanks!

The sheet should function exactly like it did when you had the ability to edit the HTML/CSS. You won't be able to make changes to the code, but you can still add abilities and attributes on the Abilities and Attributes tab, and to edit info on the Bio/GM Notes tab. You can also change the data that players enter (leveling up and so forth).

A handy tip: make several copies of the campaign before your subscription lapses. That way if you have issues (campaigns sometimes get corrupted) or want to start a new game with the same character sheet, you have options.

After the subscription expires, I'm pretty sure you can't keep the custom sheet when copying the campaign.
