There are multiple uses for this in most campaigns. World maps, local maps, city maps, player homes, and the current dungeon they are on. Being able to switch between them without the GM/DM being online to move what map they can see would be extremely useful. Specifically for me, I run a game where players are essentially fighting each other. In this game they have their own map where they can plan and defend. There is also a main map where all the players can visit and interact with each other. Allowing them to switch between their respective maps without me being on roll20 would be wonderful.
If you have a Pro account, the API script Page Navigator may be able to do what you need if you set up the correct macros for the players. I agree having it built in would be nice.
I'll check it out, but it is a rather simple thing to add that shouldn't need api capabilities in order to do.

Disclaimer as the author of page navigators. It is currently only partially functional.
I have a world map, local maps, and a party status screen. It would be helpful to let the party switch between them when I am not there.
I would find this very useful in my campaign
I’d love to see this idea realized. Not only when the GM is offline, but at any point. Allowing players to refer to pages like world maps without needing to ask the GM to switch them over every time would be a massive quality of life improvement for my games.
I don't see any other threads talking about this, but I agree that this option should be available for players to switch between even while in a game when the GM is online. What I've done as a compromise, is to make a handout with an image of the world map on it that allows any player to open up and view a different map they should have access to. However, they can't interact with a still image, and it is small in comparison to the full map from the page selection. Also, this is only useful in the case of a player viewing a world map while in a dungeon crawl.  This is one of many small tweaks that roll20 could do to help improve my gaming experience
God i need this facility, i am running Waterdeep Dragon Heist with lots of changes and have decided to give my players a whiteboard with tokens that they can track suspects and factions with me added boxes, tokens and text too (CSI WATERDEEP) Allowing them to flip to it at will would be a great help.

Reiterating above, this would be useful for when the GM is both online or offline.  I have run several different detective style games where the players have either a reference map or detective board they need access too so they can review and/or make updates as the game progresses or they have ideas.  Right now we have to move all players to the other board for one player to review or make updates.  At this point I make a snapshot and provide offline through google docs which is less than ideal. Having pages where players are given permission as with tokens that they can navigate regardless of whether the GM is on or off.  I could also see the need where the GM would summon everyone to the same screen.  Possibly tying it into the function where the GM can center everyone's screen to a particular view which in this case would automatically move every player with access to the current focus.  A simple idea would be whatever the GM sets the ribbon too, everyone has access.  Players then have access to whatever other map they have been granted permission.
For Pro users Teleport, a one click install API script may help. With it individuals can teleport to other pages.
There's also MapChange, from the API. I use it and it works pretty well.

Hey all, am trying something very similar over here:&nbsp; <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/8644717/allow-players-to-view-multiple-gm-selected-maps/?pageforid=9876867#post-9876867" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/8644717/allow-players-to-view-multiple-gm-selected-maps/?pageforid=9876867#post-9876867</a> I know it would be best to have just a single ideas, that way focusing the votes. But it is as it is.
I suggested something like this a while ago but did not get support. &nbsp;I’m glad to see that it has +10 votes now. I’d love my players to be able to jump between maps for themselves during and outside of the game. in my game I have a landing page with all the player notes/clues and &nbsp;a world map. during game or outside, the players should be able to navigate away from the active-map to either check notes/clues or to have a look at the world map without having to ask me to move them. Outside game time, having such a feature would allow the players to dip in and have a look around at (permitted) things for themselves -&nbsp; so gets my +1
Be a huge benefit to my games! +1
When?
