Hello! My name is Makenna (you may call me Kenna for short if you wish). I'm 23, emotionally stable and mature, and quite experienced with various TTRPG's. I've played Call of Cthulu, DnD (5e, 4e, and 3.5), Pathfinder, Shadowrun, and more. I am open to both free and paid games. I'm looking for a game that runs during the daytime on Saturdays (anytime between 10am and 7pm Pacific Time)! I have a preference for fantasy genre games, as well as d20 systems (like DnD and Pathfinder) but am open to others as well. I like smaller groups! Please, no more than 5 players, including myself (but not the GM). I enjoy character driven narratives, and honestly don't mind being railroaded a bit, as long as there are deep and vibrant PC's and NPC's for my character to interact with. I particularly love narratives for party dynamics that surround concepts like found family, working together to overcome trials, dealing with grief and trauma, etc. Of course, all sorts of stories are worth telling, and I have interest in most! I just have a penchant for that. Please have the campaign be no more than 50% combat - I love RP, and while dungeon crawling is fun sometimes, I don't want to only ever do that. You can expect a thorough write up (multiple pages!) for my character once I've committed to a group after a few trial sessions - I'm a writer, and do that for fun! As for a bit about myself: I pride myself on being open, clear, and honest. A strong believer in open communication, I speak my mind, and encourage others to do so as well! I would much rather hash out an issue with someone in good faith than avoid a confrontation - this helps keep any negative feelings from festering over time, and keeps people happy! I believe people are an end unto themselves, and deserve to be treated with kindness as such - I don't have a lot of patience for outright misanthropy for no reason. I have a bit of a dry wit and sense of humor, and I tend to take things pretty literally - I'm not the greatest at reading subtext unless it's exaggerated.  Disclaimer: I try my best to be open and accepting of others of all forms and beliefs. However, I will not tolerate outright sexism, racism, trans/homophobia, antisemitism, or any other forms of discrimination from players. It is fine to have these be themes that are addressed in game, but I will speak up if I hear these things happening outside of the game material. I hope to hear back from you all! Thank you for taking the time to read my post. :)
Im trying to gather players for an open-world sandbox 5e campaign if that sounds interesting. Setting would be on the higher fantasy end, magical inventions/innovations playing a big part in the world. Magical items are practically a dime a dozen, which leads some groups in large cities to abuse thier common-ness. Hopefully gonna be alot of fun, with a balanced composition of RP and combat, leaning slighlty more towards RP. Players should have plenty of agency over where the story goes, as I want the players to affect the world rather than it affecting them. If that sounds all cool beans, shoot me a pm and I can try and get a spot. Again, trying to gather players, so if I dont get enough (hoping for about 5-6) things may fall through. Have a good day!
