Star Rats A Science Fiction Crime Story The Game Currently, we have a group of 3 plus the GM and are running a gritty game of Stars Without Number. For those who are unfamiliar with the system, it is a semi-brutal Sci-Fi game set in a possible far future of Earth. Aliens exist but are not immediately prevalent, this is a story of human struggles, of conflict, loss and triumph in a universe that doesn't care about you. Starting on a rough industrial planet, the party has so far had a single session together. Therefore, any new player coming in will not have missed too much. Indeed, we even have 2 NPCs that could be turned into playable characters. However, please keep in mind that we are only seeking 1 to 2 additional individuals, maximum. I will meet with each candidate over voice chat. What We Want - Over 18 - Good Attitude - Excellent Mic - Capable of being understood via English Our group is seeking a fun narrative experience filled with grim circumstances and mature themes. For this, we are only accepting potential players willing to sit down for a talk, who are cooperative, friendly and have few boundaries. Whatever your political and social stances, those stay at the door, this is a fictional world with a great deal of hate, bigotry, unfairness, social inequity, violence, poverty, etc. We need players that can accept this and enact characters that would feasibly be a denizen of this universe. However, if you are unfamiliar with the system, that's no problem. Aside from myself, everyone in the party is new to the system. We are happy to teach and learn. We ask that you also show us patience and tolerance. I will be happy to help you make a character, step-by-step as well. What You're Joining We are a private group of adult gamers who really like story and character development without interference from IRL pretense. We have varying levels of roleplay and acting skills, but we try. By joining up, you're agreeing to join more than a single roleplay table that meets once a week. We talk outside the game frequently, debate issues, even put together other games during the week. We test new systems and some play video games. You are joining a gaming family, of sorts. A club, if you are so inclined to call it thus. Because of this, we ask members to keep their notifications on and at least make an effort to contribute to some conversations. Lurkers don't last long ;) .
