Compendium drag & drop

My group are currently playing through the purchased module of Princes of the Apocalypse for 5e D&D. Usually I like to keep all potential combatants on the map, hiding on the GM layer, so they are ready for me to reveal to my players when required. It is sometimes required though to hastily grab something from the compendium to further the game.  Last night during a particularly intense battle against one of the more unique and fearsome adversaries of this campaign, I discovered a very peculiar and critical issue. In this instance I had all the relevant combatants character sheets 'popped-out' into seperate windows, to leave the Roll20 focused as the primary window. I dragged and dropped a creature from the Compendium onto the battle map (object layer), of the primary window, all other sheet windows were minimized/unfocused. In this case the token for the new creature never loaded into the game, and instead the character sheet of the CL 19 antagonist for the module has been entirely overwritten by the information from this Compendium drag & drop, and short of recreating the module and potentially archiving/importing a 'fresh' version of the character sheet I see no way to recover. Is there a simpler and faster way to recover a unique sheet? If not a bug, how can I avoid this in future? What did I do wrong?

This is a rare bug I have fallen prey to from time to time. It's very annoying, particularly when it overwrites a PC sheet. I'd like to know how to avoid it to. For reference, what sheet were you using?
Hello Jarl Khan, I am sorry to hear that you have encountered this issue with overwritten information. To be able to rule out potential causes and to provide a baseline for the devs to work with,  please carefully work through these steps of our guide to   Solving Technical Issues : Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome  and  Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable  all  add-ons/extensions. Step 3: Clear your cache If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through  Step 4 .  (Don't forget the complete Console Log!) Additionally, I have gone ahead and poked the devs about this issue. Thank you!

Since you are a pro user, the quickest way to recover it would probably be to create a new game with the module, then transmogrify the sheet you need into your actual game. As for the bug, I have no idea why that happened.
Hello all,  I have heard back from the devs. If you are using the Roll20 5E OGL Character Sheet, the recommendation is to toggle the NPC setting within the sheet itself.

Hi all! I was the one who provided the direction on this, apologies if I misunderstood! The NPC setting within the 5eOGL character sheet would help if it was a Player's character that had an NPC (lets say a horse) dropped on to it. It should swap back to the PC's information with no trouble. This of course only works for PCs being turned into NPCs and not an NPC being overwritten. In this case, was it an NPC or a PC that was overwritten?
Sorry, I was trying to put as much info in the original post. Clearly only Keith read it though. An NPC from the Compendium was dropped onto the Background map, absolutely not onto another character sheet. This NPC then wrote over an NPC supplied by the module, one absolutely critical to the campaign progress and unique to this module.
Understood. In this instance, the fastest resolution would be what Scott recommended with the transmogrifier. Alternatively, a rollback could also work but has the downside of reverting other potentially important changes. Unfortunately, I have not been able to replicate this issue on my end in a game. Could you provide some specifics for the scenario so that I can try to reduce as many variables as possible? What was the name of the game? How many sheets did you have popped out? What map page were you on? What compendium entry was brought into the game? Thank you!
1. Princes of the Apocalypse. 2. Several. At least 7-8. 3. Weeping Colossus. 4. Planetar.
