[LFP] Rogue Trader, Saturday 21:00 UTC

Hello all, Having recently run into an excessive amount of free time, I have decided that it was about time I started paying back the roleplaying community, by running my own game instead of merely exploiting the good will of other GMs. You are hence all (to one extent or another) cordially invited to join us as we venture towards Heathen Stars, in a - hopefully - exciting game of Rogue Trader. As one might have guessed from the title, the game will take place on Saturdays, at 21:00 UTC. Expected session length is three to four hours, as per standard, and the weekly schedule will be at adhered to as far as possible. I understand that, for the players, real life comes first, and I respect this, but it so fortunately happens that I am not in possession of one such, and I therefore foresee very few potential interruptions. The characters will, for the sake of those new to the system as well as my own sanity, be starting off at Rank 1. All sourcebooks are allowed, but I, as a GM, will reserve the right to behave like a Righteous Imperial Citizen, and smack you with a book should you try to do something completely ridiculous. Specifically, Faith and Coin, being notoriously poorly balanced, particularly with regards to equipment, will receive a few askance glances, and anyone who wants to play a Dark Eldar might well find another game to play in. I am, however, open to Kroot and Orks, though I will likely subject any player of such to a slightly higher standard. Unless they're Weirdboys. Weirdboys are lovely. At current time, the party consists of a Void Master and a Seneschal. I am not opposed to multiple players of the same career, though I would appreciate it if people would be inclined not to settle on a character concept prior to talking to the group. The vessel on which you shall journey has yet to be designed, though I'm sure it awaits you somewhere, shivering with anticipation, or possibly just from poor maintenance (I wouldn't know, not being a tech-priest). The themes of the campaign have yet to be settled on, as I prefer to base this on player input. I do not expect exceptional maturity from my players, but I do appreciate occasionally having people pay at least lip-service to some sense of decorum. Moreover, I expect players to be friendly (if not in character), respectful of one another (if not in character), and averse to bigotry of any kind (except, of course, in character). I find that these are all quite essential to a good campaign. If anyone's interested, feel free to send me a PM or post in this thread, and I'll send you my Skype details, so as to make sure that we can get this campaign on the road post-haste. See you soon, and may Drusus overlook your misdeeds, Iroel
Hell I'm interested.
well I would be interested ... but I guess you already started... And I guess RT position is also filled
Oh, the game has yet to start. We had five players, initially, but it turned out to be close to impossible to align the schedules of more than two. The Rogue Trader position, on the other hand, has received some recent interest. Still, if there's anything else you might be interested in, I'm quite certain we could fit you in the spot of "Mutinous right hand":
Is it possible you could fit me in?
well I am person who likes leadership and Rogue Trader position I like most... We can talk more on the Skype or whatever you are using. And concerning the times I am okay with time stated here and can do also Friday ... other times I cant.
Replies have been sent out to everyone who mentioned interested, if, perhaps, a bit delayed. One potentially interested player had to leave due to scheduling conflict, and the Seneschal up and packed his bags for no stated reason, so we're very much still interested in others to join the crew on their fare. The plan is still to have a character/party/ship-creation session this upcoming Saturday; that way, we can make sure that the party is (somewhat) coherent, and that we can actually get a campaign going that y'all will like. I hope to get more interest, and if so, I'll see you soon.
Extremely interested experienced RT player here. :) I prefer playing Explorators but can play any role necessary on the ship. Please let me know.

Well I've been looking for a decent rogue trader game (alongside all of my dnd stuff) so count me in.
I love the WH40k universe, own a copy of the rogue trader book, and would be delighted to hear more about your campaign. I have no idea what an Ork freebooter is like mechanically, but I'm pretty sure it'd be hilarious, so I might look it up.
Okay, whoosh, turns out my fears were unwarranted. That's plenty of interest, and I think I'll be closing down applications until such a time where a suitable fraction of the players have disappeared into the warp anew. If anyone else is interested, I suppose I could write them down as potential replacement players, but other than that, yeah, I think we're hitting our max here.
