Hello all, Having recently run into an excessive amount of free time, I have decided that it was about time I started paying back the roleplaying community, by running my own game instead of merely exploiting the good will of other GMs. You are hence all (to one extent or another) cordially invited to join us as we venture towards Heathen Stars, in a - hopefully - exciting game of Rogue Trader. As one might have guessed from the title, the game will take place on Saturdays, at 21:00 UTC. Expected session length is three to four hours, as per standard, and the weekly schedule will be at adhered to as far as possible. I understand that, for the players, real life comes first, and I respect this, but it so fortunately happens that I am not in possession of one such, and I therefore foresee very few potential interruptions. The characters will, for the sake of those new to the system as well as my own sanity, be starting off at Rank 1. All sourcebooks are allowed, but I, as a GM, will reserve the right to behave like a Righteous Imperial Citizen, and smack you with a book should you try to do something completely ridiculous. Specifically, Faith and Coin, being notoriously poorly balanced, particularly with regards to equipment, will receive a few askance glances, and anyone who wants to play a Dark Eldar might well find another game to play in. I am, however, open to Kroot and Orks, though I will likely subject any player of such to a slightly higher standard. Unless they're Weirdboys. Weirdboys are lovely. At current time, the party consists of a Void Master and a Seneschal. I am not opposed to multiple players of the same career, though I would appreciate it if people would be inclined not to settle on a character concept prior to talking to the group. The vessel on which you shall journey has yet to be designed, though I'm sure it awaits you somewhere, shivering with anticipation, or possibly just from poor maintenance (I wouldn't know, not being a tech-priest). The themes of the campaign have yet to be settled on, as I prefer to base this on player input. I do not expect exceptional maturity from my players, but I do appreciate occasionally having people pay at least lip-service to some sense of decorum. Moreover, I expect players to be friendly (if not in character), respectful of one another (if not in character), and averse to bigotry of any kind (except, of course, in character). I find that these are all quite essential to a good campaign. If anyone's interested, feel free to send me a PM or post in this thread, and I'll send you my Skype details, so as to make sure that we can get this campaign on the road post-haste. See you soon, and may Drusus overlook your misdeeds, Iroel
