Video Recurring Problem

For the last 6 weeks we are trying to use ROLL20 video and chat tools. In the session beggini as we are usually up to 4 participants everything works perfectly. As soon a 5th or 6th member join the game all hell break loose and the nightmare usually consumes 30min to 1 hour from us reconnecting, logging off and on for no result and having to go back to Skype or hangout. I also found a lot of similar testimonials in the forum.

We would really love to be using only roll20 as we can leave only one window open and see maps and token.

Could you pleas let me know if this problem have already been detected? if yes the dev team already have an ETA for the solution?

The video and voice chat is peer to peer based and relies more on each person's internet bandwidth so as more people are added to your connection, it puts more demand on your bandwidth. To counter this, you could set it to voice only, change your video bandwidth, or just go to a different voice options like you have to do. I heard many people use discord minimized while using Roll20 to game on.

Hello Alvaro T.,

I am sorry to hear that you have encountered this issue.

Please note that the devs are aware Audio/Video issues. They are working to find a resolution to these issues. Unfortunately, there is no current ETA on when that will be provided.

As such, please have anyone running into this issue to carefully work through Steps 1 through 8 of the Roll20 guide to Audio Visual Troubleshooting:

If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through Step 9:

Thank you!
