New to D&D but excited to learn!

Hi! I'm a brand new player to D&D, but I've been interested in learning the game for some time. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to have someone like me in their game? I'm just starting college next fall, so I have a lot a free time this summer and my schedule is flexible (I'm in EST btw). If not, any tips for getting started would also be appreciated :)

I have a game next tuesday which is a continuation of this week's game.  I have several newish and newbie players.  I had one person drop out who was a problem child so I have an opening.  If you are interested, and have time for a discord chat this weekend, maybe I have a slot for you.  If you work out, we can launch right  into 5E and roll20 introduction and then do your character creation and Character Sheet introduction.  I have worked with quite a few new players and have been successful in getting them comfortable with the system as well as having fun playing on Roll20.  Several have even gone off to run their own games and reach out for advice and suggestions.  So if this sounds good to you, PM me with times this weekend when you would be available.
