New player seeking new campaign

Completely new to D&D and Roll20 would like to find a way to play somehow what do I need to know ?  What should I expect? Do people always play online at same time with voice and video, text based thru message board posting? Available Thursday / Friday Any day with session ending before 5:45 pm Pacific is also within my schedule  Very eager to dive into some cool character progression ! I myself am also somewhat new - I mostly host my hand written campaign via discord - and don't do to much through roll20. I will be starting a new campaign for 3 others - and they're looking for a 4th. We plan to be meeting sometime on MONDAYS - We're PST and plan to meet sometime in the evening or late evening.
