I'm quite familiar with 3.5E rules and the universe/lore of the Forgotten Realms, but I am new to 5E. I have, however, started reading the Player's Handbook and will probably finish it within the next week. Most likely I'll also be going through the other books as well; such as Xanathar and Volo's guide, Monster Manual, etc. I have all of the 5E books released so far, as such access to rulings, spell descriptions and so on will not be a problem for me. As far as class preferences go: I dislike (a lot) playing as rogue, bard, monk, or cleric. I'm ambivalent towards druid, fighter, or barbarian. I like the rest somewhat equality, so there is a bit of flexibility there. Alignment: never chaotic or evil. Race: elf, human, dragonborn, tiefling. I can play any day at pretty much any hour, and I'd prefer to play once or twice per week. Real life politics and ideologies that make their way into the game is a definite NO from me. I'm not a super serious kind of person; I can be fun and I enjoy having
fun and cracking jokes, but I also don't like needlessly wasting time by
waiting half an hour for someone to finish cooking in real life, or
deal with other non-game related issues. In short, I'd prefer a group
that focuses on the game. And lastly, I'd prefer a DM and group that respects the official rules and avoids bending them as much as possible. I welcome homebrewed campaigns/modules, but I do not like homebrewed rules at all. For examle I'm OK with giving some custom modifiers to a "sickly" goblin, or changing the hit dice of a boss due to the number of players, basically common sense changes for functional reasons, but custom classes with made up feats, self-styled "balance" changes and stuff like that is not something I like unless they have a solid reason behind them. Feel free to reply or message me about any additional info.
