The base is feeling a little cramped right now. And a little lonely. And you have got a LOT on your mind. There's so many things you need to -- to... fix? CAN you fix them? Honestly, you're not sure you can save everyone. (Sometimes, when it's late and you're really alone, you wonder if you can save anyone . Time to clear your head. You hop in your ship and get out of the base, trying to figure out what to do first. Roll +Savior, let's see how much you can handle. On a 10+, pick 2. On a 7-9, pick 1. Colin. Obviously. First priority. You need to get the Invictus out of his system. Make sure he knows he's still a hero, no matter what. Make sure he's okay. Once Colin's back on his feet, everything else will sort itself out. Right? Invictus. Obviously. First priority. Vanquish is sneaking it onto the planet to weaken the world's defenses. That's very very very not good. No one acted fast enough to defend themselves on your home world, and you're not going to make that mistake. If you can stop Invictus, everything else sorts itself out. Right? Jo'ren. Obviously. He's got more information, and probably knows enough about Vanquish to tell you what to do next. Take your next move from that information, and everything else will sort itself out. Right? On a miss, pick 1, and the GM picks one of the other two situations to... deteriorate. Oh dear. Cheers, Editorial

Oh dear. OKAY! Tell me where you're focus is at, and I'll figure out what's going on with something else, and we'll get rolling. :) (I've marked potential.)
I am going to do number 1, Colin, of course

[Okay, so the first I'm going to say is this: addiction is a heavy topic. I'm working to make it as realistic and also respectful as possible, while sticking to the comic book sort of ... tone, but if AT ANY TIME you want to tap out of this, PLEASE say so.] First thing. When you **work to help Colin with his Invictus addiction**, choose one: Tell his family what's going on, to get him (and you) help. Take a +2 forward to Clear one one of Colin's current conditions using Freak. Tell us how you use your telepathy and shapeshifting to fight the drug in his system. Lose influence with Colin or Colin takes a third condition: Angry. Keep Colin's situation a secret from everyone who doesn't already know. Roll +Superior to keep Colin's family in the dark, which results may or may not affect. Comfort-and-support Colin to clear a condition. Tell us what you spend your time doing, together. +1 for having influence, but possible problems from his family, depending on how that Superior roll went.

Also, to get an idea of what the whole Invictus addiction is like, see here: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/7666145/when-youre-addicted-to-invictus

Take a +2 forward to Clear one one of Colin's current conditions using Freak. Tell us how you use your telepathy and shapeshifting to fight the drug in his system. Lose influence with Colin or Colin takes a third condition: Angry. Okay, I'll assume Colin's angry, but that you haven't lost influence over him. ----- "I can't believe you told my parents," Colin's jaw is tight, half from anger, and half from real embarrassment and shame. He's hurting, right now, and while the fact you went to his mom shocked him enough to realize you're taking this seriously, he's still pretty shook in general. "It's not even like a real drug - it just gives you powers. What's wrong with that?" You are methodical - you've dealt with ugly addictions on your homeworld, and the safest thing for you to do, personally, is keep things bottled up, because getting emotional does not help you focus at a time like this. So your replies are plain. Straightforward. Factual. Also, it doesn't help that his parents are watching right now. You were barely able to get them to let you help, but when you explained that the drug was extraterrestrial in origin - that Earth medical treatments might not even work - they were willing to you give it a try, based on your alien origins alone. Colin grudgingly sits for you, his face and neck deeply flushed in shame as his parents watch. You reach forward, taking his hands, and use that connection for forge a much stronger telepathic link - one in which your own shapeshifting can help Colin's body reject the influence of the Invictus. It is a fight. You think at first it's Colin resisting you, but you realize it's actually the drug in his system - it slips away, it pushes back, and it grabs hold of his body with chemical claws and resists any attempt be moved or removed. It's almost - almost - like the the stuff is alive, somehow, but that is hopefully just your mind providing a metaphor for the battle in his body. When it's done, you feel like you did ten minutes of sparring with the training robots in the base, and Colin looks about the same way, but all, weirdly, a little better. Choose a condition to clear from Colin. He can't get free of the Invictus influence until all his conditions are clear. Angry Insecure Guilty
