Simple help

I'm trying to do a simple dice roller. When i use a simple macro /roll ?{Number of Dice|1}d?{Type of Dice} It asks for input and give a result. But it doesn't look nice.  so i did a basic stacking macro. It still asks for input but now it doesn't give an answer.  /w gm &{template:npcaction} {{rname=Dice roll}} {{description=[Dice](!%| #Dice)}} any help would be nice

Probably this would call your macro: /w gm &{template:npcaction} {{rname=Dice roll}} {{description=[Dice](!
#Dice)}} You might prefer an inline roll: [[?{Number of Dice|1}d?{Type of Dice}]] Or together: /w gm &{template:npcaction} {{rname=Dice roll}} {{description=[[ ?{Number of Dice|1}d?{Type of Dice} ]]}}

If you're calling a macro named dice, this is the syntax to use /w gm &{template:npcaction} {{rname=Dice roll}} {{description= [Dice](!
#Dice)}} If its an Ability on a character sheet, use /w gm &{template:npcaction} {{rname=Dice roll}} {{description= [Dice](!
%{CharacterName|Dice})}} replace ' CharacterName' with whatever your character is actually called, or use 'selected' if you want to use a token. Edit:  ninja'd!

In Handouts and Character Bios, GM Notes, etc, you can use the name of a Character or Handout in square brackets [ ] to link to it.  If you had a character named Grom the Destroyer, you could link it with: [Grom the Destroyer] Other than that sort of linking, and nesting things in folders, there isn't much you can do on the compendium front.
