When you create a character and open the sheet, there should be 3 tabs. Bio & Info, Character Sheet, and Attributes & Abilities. When you first open it, it will always be on the Bio & Info tab that will be blank until you add a portrait and any desired text there. Are you on that tab or the Character Sheet tab? I created a BitD test game, and the sheet displays just fine for me.
