[LF2M][Pokémon Tabletop United Homebrew][GMT+1] Long Open Campaign in a new region

Hey! I am looking for 2 more players who are willing to venture in a new (and large) Pokémon region . We will be using homebrew rules/mechanics , that expand from the Pokémon Tabletop United 1.05, and provide a sense of immersion, specially adapted to the region in this unique adaptation and take of the lore surrounding the Pokémon universe/franchise of the games/manga/anime. We are aiming for Saturday afternoons , exact hour is still being debated. But before I go any further, I'd like to introduce the region itself, just so people may have an idea of what it stands for: Welcome to Oberg. A region divided, yet united, under the same banner. A region with many cultures and traditions, that have inspired many faiths along the millennia in many other nations and kingdoms of the world! A region which has inspired artists to create wonders of fiction and worlds of magic. Yes, surely one with its own celebrities and art. A peninsula to the northeast of the Kalos region, where the ocean meets the Baltisch Sea. A land of mountains to the south and grasslands to the north. Flower fields and windmills to the northwest and many forests all around. After all, two of the most famous forests in the world exist here, the forbidden Gaesmere Forests and the cursed Black Forest! But Oberg is also a region of progress, of industry. The capital of Angu is but a host to many corporations and cultures of the world. One of the largest industrial areas of the world also exist within the region to the west, one who has sparked debates in the last few decades. The region also hosts a large University, which provides an entire experience for the young adults who wish to find a place for themselves in this world. But even if you just wish to spend a vacation in this land of fairies and dragons, fun can be had at the heart of the region. Oberg may have many monuments but it also has a large casino, with a Pokéathlon, and an theme park that illustrates the tales of this region. It is the year 2034, 31st of August. 35 Years after the success of Team Rocket's mad science of being able to clone Mew. 32 Years after the attempts of resurrecting that criminal faction. 27 Years after two cults almost brought back the Primal Gods. 21 Years after Team Plasma proposed a vision that hid a much greedier purpose. 16 Years after beasts, from other dimensions, nearly invaded Alola completely. 15 Years after the Dragon Lord saved the region of Hoenn from a meteorite. 12 Years after the wild claims that Arceus had appeared before humanity, but also obfuscated by the threat of genocide that came from within Kalos. Lastly, 10 Years after Team Plasma tried to bring forward what appeared to be a new Ice Age. These were the most recent events. And here we are, in Oberg. It does not matter if you are from this region or an immigrant, this is where your journey will begin. What you decide to do with it is up to you! It's a brand new world to explore, with new Pokémon and myths you probably never seen or heard before. It matters not if you desire to be a Pokémon master, a worldwide superstar, a professor/scientist/doctor, a member of the International Police, a Pokémon Top Ranger/Operator, a criminal, a strong leader of your own faith or any other ambition or title. This region has a place for you! September is coming and it is the perfect month to begin an adventure, so good luck out there, no matter which of the nine Tribes (states) you are from or settled in! With that said, there are a few things that I, as a DM/GM, require from those that accept this: - Commitment and Patience. This is a long campaign, with homebrew mechanics that are still being tested. While I won't demand my players to learn every mechanic from the get-go (that's insane, even I'm terrible at memorizing every single one of them), I do ask my players to be aware of the world they are in. You can't possibly roleplay without knowing the lore and that's why there's a homebrew handbook to read before even making a character. Which brings my next requirement: - Roleplay and Immersion. I want to engage with characters that feel real. We know this is Pokémon, a world of complete fiction and certain superficiality. Still, this doesn't mean that we can't make characters that have more nuance into their persona. Interact with the NPC's as you would with any other character, because they are supposed to be real people in your character's perspective. In short, yes, "Heavy Roleplay". -  New Roleplayers.  While this is admittedly not the most "new player friendly" campaign out there, I am willing to have new Roleplayers. They must be eager to learn however, which means they perhaps need to be more dedicated than the more experienced. It will help immensely if you are already a Pokémon fan in this case, since the lore of this franchise can overwhelm those who have absolutely no idea what they are getting themselves into. This is definitely for the tenacious and not for those who seek instant gratification. -  Friendliness.  This is, of course, something we all want from each others. We are here to have fun, most of all. However, what might be fun for someone might not be amusing for others! Obviously what I mean is: be nice, honest and respectful towards other players and the DM/GM. This is going to be a long campaign so it is best for everyone if we all get along and try to enjoy each others' company (or else it's a colossal waste of everyone's time and patience). If you still feel inclined to join, this assuming that you believe that you are the type of player me and my friend are seeking for the campaign, be sure to either post here or send me a PM with your discord so that we can have an interview through voice . Thank you for reading and hopefully I'll see you soon!
I take it you play as trainers and not as Pokemons?

Yes, as a Roleplayer, you'd Roleplay only the trainers. Though you'd have control over your own Pokémon during combat (for mechanical purposes only and if they are loyal enough to listen). Either way, I'd like to thank everyone that shown interest in this campaign! The responses have been overwhelmingly positive and I had the opportunity to interview many people today. I will come to a decision tomorrow but I won't be interviewing more people for now. I've already met very interesting Roleplayers today and it would break my heart to decide among even a larger quantity of Roleplayers. Once again, thank you all and I hope we have the opportunity to meet again!

if this happens after noon est on saturday I would love to give it a try. Would being a ranger or Reporter maybe someone who yes is a trainer but doesn't often compete but loves to report on tournament level pokemon trainers? Be good,Maybe?
Yes, it would be acceptable! Though those would be goals your character would want to achieve rather than being so from the get-go. Still, as I said in the earlier post, I already have enough Roleplayers for now. But thank you for showing interest, maybe there will be more opportunities in the future!
