Godless is, as one of my players put it, a game where you have to deal with the outer and inner political crisis of an eroding kingdom. In a world void of Gods, with only dragons to worship, a dark death cult is trying to fill just that void, by creating their own God. Mages and wizards have long held the power of the kingdoms, and are the only real nobility around. The Players are trying to make their way through the world in this crisis state. Currently, the players witnessed the destruction of the elven 'kingdom', met an intelligent flesh golem and found a weird foreigner with a topknot and two samurai swords on him that seemingly fell from the sky. Their next goal is to save a city under siege by the army of the undead. This has been an ongoing campaign for a few months now. Players are currently level 8, the point at which other newcomers will also start. The current group is a colourfull ensemble of 3 other players, the others having to leave due to personal lives turning (graduation, etc). The game is somewhat open-ended, and focused primarily on the character's own stories, as well as their follower's, as they lived through these chaotic times. Expect a lot of undead, with (currently) Liches being the BBEG. There is a secondary party of 'main characters' that are taking care of the 'main storyline', allowing the players more degree of freedom, knowing the world will still be 'saved'. (Although the party is already quite involved in the main storyline, and can easily take the role of heroes if they wished.) Games are run through ROLL20 with communication via Discord. Currently, the party has a wizard, a rogue and a monk/fighter in it, with quite a few follower NPCs. Game is run each Saturday at 15:00 GTM+1, so it is mostly suitable for EU based players. The system is standard D&D 5E. Looking for one or two extra players. Apply with a character concept AND/OR a short description of your expectations for the campaign.
