[LFP] Long-term D&D 5e Campaign, Seeking 2 Players

Hello there! THE PITCH: My name's Tony, I've been running a D&D campaign that is 100% homebrewed for about 19 months now.  Recently, 2 members have had to back out due to family and work-related issues.  As such, we are looking to bolster our ranks from 4 to 6.  We play every Wednesday at 7 PM EST.  We're about 70/30 on role-play versus combat.  I don't have any expectations of my players aside from a desire to contribute cooperatively to the enjoyment of all parties. THE MECHANICS: Currently, we're sitting at just hitting 10th level.  The current party makeup is: Halfling Bard/Warlock Human Fighter/Cleric Dragonborn Mystic/Monk Tabaxi Druid As you can likely see from this list, there are a good number of possibilities to make unique characters that fit whatever playstyle you're looking to contribute. As it stands, I would say a healer, a rogue, and a blaster are all builds that would greatly benefit the party, but I certainly would not put any restrictions on any of your ideas or submissions.  As a DM, I like to say yes as much as possible, so I will be happy to work with you on your character development and backstory.  Also keep in mind at 10th level we'll work together to get you a couple of magic items to better suit your character's distinctive style, so stay creative.  Don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have. THE STORY (so far): On the continent of Ashgabat, a group of intrepid heroes have made their way from the far East reaches, first convening in the town of Frostglade.  Expelling a group of thugs that had taken up residence and corrupted the city for their own purposes, they gradually learned that these thugs were simply an arm of a darker, more sinister force.  That force was a benevolent, newly birthed deity, formed from the conscious loss of faith of the peoples of the world.  The pettiness and squabbles of the gods had manifested a force that cultivated strength and worship.  As it grew, so too did its powers.  And with these powers, a promise: in time, it would grow so large that it would begin to wage war upon the gods.  One by one they would fall, and, upon realizing its goal, it would use supreme power to do the one thing no other force could hope: it would erase itself from existence, ushering in an era of atheism, in which men could not rely upon higher powers, only themselves. Of course, as with many things, the truth was lost in this.  For a fiendish entity named Sanshar was behind these proclamations, and had created a base in the Citadel of Fyliek in the Shadowfell, where it gathered negative energy, worshipers, and riches.  The heroes found themselves at odds with this powerful psychic entity, only to make the startling discovery that this was a false god.  It was in fact a beholder that simply manipulated lost souls into willingly following its greedy machinations.  Though on of their own died in the ensuing struggle, the group managed to save the capital city of Antioch and slay the monstrosity. Now our group has headed West, for a personal quest that may see them willingly entering the Nine Hells themselves to retrieve the most precious thing in the world to one of their own.  What they find there, only time will tell. THE SKINNY: So if you're interested, I'd love for you to reply, either in this post or directly message me.  I'd love to know the following: Your Name Experience with D&D Race/Class you'd like to play Brief Backstory Your Character's Personal Goals (if any, we can work on that) Your Schedule Availability (Remember, we play Wednesdays at 7 EST, please let me know if that might be an issue) Anything Else You'd Like to Share Anyone who reads this, thank you very much for your time and consideration.  I look forward to hearing from you! Tony

James About 4 years being a GM and about half a year as a player Race: Eberron Warforged Class: Eberron Artificer. This class can heal and buff with items or use guns is allowed. Mankar comes from a world of other Warforged that do nothing but fight. He wanted more out of the world so he left that world behind to explore and learn new things. He carries around with him his best friend and first ever made construct, Benny who is no more then 6 inches tall but talks as if he is much much bigger and often gets Mankar in trouble. He is a crafter and one day wants to make a powerful item and use it to help his closest friends and protect those he cares about. The times works fine for me there will be no problems If i listed anything that you do not want in your game or would like to rework it i am open to changes.

Name:   Nathan D&D Experience:   I was first introduced to Pathfinder and I played that for around a year.  With 5e, I only started playing that less than a year ago although I have a decent grasp of it. Race/Class:   Probably a Tiefling Rogue named Kanin Brief Backstory:   Kanin was once an homeless orphan who had to live off the streets to survive.  One day during a very harsh winter, he stole from the wrong person and was beating the crap out of.  Yet the person saw a spark in Kanin and decided to take him under his wing and train him for the days to come. Schedule Availability:   I have class on Wednesdays, although I get out around 6 EST, so I should be able to make it without an issue. Anything Else?:   This character I have has been in a previous campaign, but I enjoyed playing him so I was thinking to maybe bring him into another game, although if you would prefer a more original character, I have a Changeling sorcerer or an Elven cleric in mind that would be cool to play.

Josiah BR. My character's name is "Shaedow Horud Speaker" A decent amount (about 1 year), though it's been a few years since. I'm looking to get back into it. Tiefling Rogue Archer (I recently created this as a blend of my last 2 characters.) My character was raised in a dwarven city called Nashkelion by the Council Speaker Horud. Horud was the only one willing to accept and take in an infant tiefling who appeared from seemingly nowhere found in a crumbling mining shaft. Horud had to use his weight with the council and all the favors he could to allow me to live, and not be killed on the spot. This decision was hated by all, but theycould only grumble and attempt subtle assassinations when they could. My character's horns were shaved off with my permission in an attempt to help me fit in, but to no avail. When I was big and old enough, I was sent to work the mines with everyone else despite Horud's protestations. This only made me an easier target. Due to my character's upbringing, I never fully agreed with the dwarves focus on tradition and seclusion, and tended to somehow both despise and respect those in authority. As a coming of age gift from my surrogate father Horud, I was given a cowl specially enchanted with the ability to wall-crawl whenever I needed in order to help the dwarf miners reach the higher and smaller sections of the mines, and to allow me to run away easier from those who kept trying to kill me. (as dwarves are practical if nothing else.) This helped me to grow up to be very dexterous, and to feel comfort while on ceilings and high up on walls. I quickly grew to never standing on flat ground if I could help it, and being extremely uncomfortable when not on a wall or ceiling. I always cherished this gift, and have taken extremely good care of it and never let it out of my sight, going so far as to sleep with it tightly secured at all times. Eventually, Horud died at a young (for dwarves) age of 317 in what is officially a "mining accident" while my character was only 17. Reality was, Horud had interfered with an attempted assassination on my life, and took a poisoned blade from a dwarf who I could not identify as I had my back turned and was just coming down from a wall in a dark corner of the mine to speak with Horud. With my protector dead, I was sentenced to exile for a 2 human generations, or 35 years, and accused of killing my own surrogate father. If I survived the exile, I was to be allowed to return should I wish it, and to receive Horud's holdings and inheritance as his only child. After that, I'd be seen as an stranger Surface Dwarf, should I wish it, as per Horud's dying wish. As it is, it's been 15 years since then, and I still hold a grudge towards the unknown assassin and the entire dwarven council at Nashkelion. I don't intend to return even after my sentence is done, but am on the fence as, due to Horud's dying wish, I have a very faint hope that the dwarves would respect me because of their adherence to tradition. I'm still unsure. So I've been working as a mercenary and drifting around doing odd and undesirable jobs for food, shelter, and money. I quickly learned that tieflings are shunned by most races, and that without my horns, even my own kind won't help me. I was truly alone. As result, I quickly learned how to sneak, steal, and make money by even less attractive means to survive, but still while holding to me unique morals and dreaming big. This makes me a bit pessimistic and even bitter at times, but somehow I hold out the hope that I'll one day meet some great people who'll accept me for me, and allow me to pursue my dreams of starting my own unified country where all the races help each other, and corruption is punished by no less than death. My Rogue's goals are five.  Help the helpless, get rich, find real friends, fight corruption at all costs, and form a new unified country . I'll try to not kill when possible if it is sentient and not a creature and loot any KO'd or dead enemies when possible. I will kill if they try to hurt or kill someone or something I care about. Also, any who try to steal my cowl, get to meet my blade and bow. Personally, I've no issues with 7pm on wednesday. In fact, most evenings after 6pm are free for me. I recently bought a mic set specifically so I can play D&D or tabletop RPGs again, but I'd prefer not to be on any face cams for now. Finally, I'm not opposed to creating a new character from scratch at a predetermined level. I have 3 different ideas in mind too. I prefer to stick to rogues and druids, bards and rangers at the very least though. Simply by play style preference. And as this character is technically one I just created, I still need to roll stats and level him up as appropriate. I'll do so per whatever rules you have me go by. Please let me know if I can join!
Your Name: Dan! Character's name Is Roly, just Roly Experience with D&D: Been dming and playing for a little over a year now, though I Dm more than I play. Race/Class you'd like to play: Human (varied)/ Warlock lvl 7(great old one)/Rogue(assassin) lvl 3 Brief Backstory: The backstory I have for this character, to make it brief, he was a scholar at some point in his life that discovered something out of the ordinary. He went to investigate to seek more knowledge about the discovery, only to go mad. He barley remembers anything, even his name. Instead of what most people would do and find our who he is, he has already gone mad and decides that he must continue his research! He must find out about what these things that are called "The Great Old Ones" are and worship them, for they have the power to change the world at its core! Your Character's Personal Goals: Worship and find out more about the great old ones, by any means necessary.  Your Schedule Availability: I am free all day Wednesday as it is my off day from classes Anything Else You'd Like to Share: Current age is 20 and  I am really itching to play some more D&D instead of running it.
Your Name: Ryan Experience with D&D: I've been playing as well as DM-ing Pathfinder and 5th Edition for almost four years!  Race/Class you'd like to play: A Human Oath of Devotion Paladin (Possible multiclass into barbarian) Brief Backstory: To keep it simple, Seiki was a noble born daughter who decided to forgo her mother's desires for her to become a proper lady and get married and follow the path of her father whom she was stolen from when she was younger. He was a devout knight in service to an order of the god(dess) (I'm not sure of your current pantheon, so I don't want to pick one yet) who happened to charm a woman at some sort of event and refused to give up his calling to raise his station. So his estranged daughter is on a quest to find him, do some good and try and get her bad temper under control one way or another. Your Character's Personal Goals (if any, we can work on that): Find her dad eventually, but she definitely wants to help those in need above all. She's a lot more aware of how awful those in power can treat those below her in various ways and wants to change that disparity, but all the same she has lofty dreams of being a hero in one form or another.  Your Schedule Availability (Remember, we play Wednesdays at 7 EST, please let me know if that might be an issue): Super available at that time! It's one of the few days a week none of my other games meet, so there will not be any conflicts.
