The City of Loss Population – 17,000 Brief History: The original two hundred beings that survived the fall awoke hundreds of years later deep inside the ship. The salvaged what they could from the wreckage and dismantled what was left to make shelters out of. Now thousands of years later, there is little left of the great ship Loss and what remains is treacherous and often fatal to those who go adventuring into its depths. Rumors have it that the ship has been used by nocturnal cave dwellers that live deep underground and only come out of the depths to steel children. Olous the Rat King and his followers lived within the wreckage for many years and they slowly died off. Olous is said to have made his way to The Carcass and is now ruling in the ruins of the old city. The Elves that survived the crash moved north and began their own settlement called Elune. They are growing crystals out of the mountains and are said to have regained the ability to use magic. No is sure where the Dwarven settlement came from, and the many towns scattered along the west are great for trading and crafting of fine tools. The great Orc city of Ramjet is far to the east and is home to many non-human races. They have built their empire out of the ruins of the old cities and have often suffered the perils of this decision. Ramjet was almost completely wiped out by radiation about six hundred years ago and few beings have traveled there to see what has become of the infected. All the civilized settlements have decided that Orcs and their infection kin should be killed on site as to not spread any disease. The city of Loss and the neighboring towns have grown to become a centralized gathering spot for traders and commerce. The Mayor is a direct descendent of the Cryo Born and is very knowledgeable when it comes to the other races. There are now forty professional Salvage and Scavenger crews that call Loss their home. The scrap yards of Loss are where most beings come to find artifacts and lost treasures. Mayor Gus Hudson Gus is one of the Cryo Families that have been here since the great fall. His family has seen the world overrun by nature and have fought off predators, both human and animal.
