Hey there! A close group of siblings and friends would like to play D&D 5e together (myself, my 3 brothers and 2 friends)! We are very open to homebrew or official campaigns and we are willing to play a variety of genres too depending on the proposal from the DM. We would like to play every Thursday evening (starting between 6 - 7pm EST and running until ~10pm). Maybe even occasionally doing an extra long session on a weekend, but this would be entirely dependent on DM and group capabilities. Ideally we are looking for a DM who is willing to work with a variety of player experience levels and someone who is interested in running a long-term campaign. We have no end date in mind, so let’s do this and keep it going! Given that we’re all close, it is unlikely that we will have issues with the group falling apart and some of us have played together in other campaigns previously (and we still love each other). While we would like to explore story or character development, we are definitely a combat driven group, so would love to have combat in every session if possible! Hoping we can find a DM who can become a part of our D&D crew and enjoy spending time with us! I’m also willing to pay a DM if it’s the right fit/situation for our little crew. We all range from 28-33 years old, a mix of introverted/extroverted, and in general we’re all lovable geeks who play a variety of video/tabletop/board games. All of us, but 1, have played D&D and or other pen and paper games before, but none of us are veterans to the genre. Your players (in my biased perspective): Lauren - Me! I’m a loot goblin at heart and tend to play magic users. I love developing my character both prior to game start and throughout a campaign. I usually take notes and love to doodle so I will likely draw characters and other misc things from the campaign. I also enjoy creating fun gifts/experiences for my party members/DM. Scott - Proactively learns the rules and enjoys min/maxing his character. He tends to play true to his alignment/background/etc, but is a bit shy so only calls people out on things if it’s pretty egregious to his character. Naturally gravitates towards playing a healer. Henry - Helpful by nature whether in explanations of rules or making decisions to benefit the group. A bit of a mediator, both in person and in game, although this can vary depending on his specific character. Plays smart, and tends to play some kind of melee warrior, but I expect he will fill whatever role the group needs. Stephen - Gets into character! Tends towards chaotic alignments and is willing to take risks with his character. He prefers shorter roleplay/town portions and always wants to get back into combat. Voted most likely to get itchy/bored with long periods without attacking something. Likely a caster or rogue type. Jamal - Relatively new to D&D, and considers himself new to roleplaying in general. He doesn’t think he’s very good at it, but actively wants to get better! Pretty-level headed and humorous. He previously played a monk and is considering trying out a caster next. Nick - A brand new player! While he has always wanted to play, he has never had the chance before. He is super excited to learn and I expect he will get super into character (with RP/voice/etc)! He is currently interested in playing a Tank archetype.
