Ipad App

Hello! I was super excited to find there was an ipad app for roll20... that is until the app refused to open! I have an Ipad Pro and wanted to use it as a second screen as a DM. Please bring in support for this fantastic concept!!! At the time of writing the app currently has an average of 1.2 stars across 96 reviews!

The iPad app is under a complete re-write, and really doesn't function well at this time. However, as a Plus user, consider Table on Tablet. It does far more than the app. It's a little quirky given that the Roll20 interface wasn't originally designed with a touch screen in mind (you can't hover over dice rolls, for instance), but you should be able to use it as an auxiliary log in.
Hello Dana P., I am sorry to hear that you are having this issue with the Roll20 iPad app.  To reiterate what keithcurtis has stated, the iPad version of the app has a couple known issues that will require a complete rebuild in order to fix. You can read more about available workarounds for known problems and why we're currently unable to update the app at this time:  Workarounds for Issues with the Ipad Roll20 App .
That link is 10 months old reassuring users the dev team were looking to get this worked on this year. Has there been any progress in the past 10 months on this?

It has been mentioned in several threads and public roundtables. Last time here . Basically, (as I understand it) the existing code had to be scrapped and the entire app re-built with a mobile developer. Apple changed some rules about how apps could be built and distributed on the App store, and the existing app had used those deprecated methods as their foundation. I.e. it could not be updated, only re-written. Yes, it has been a long time, and it may be a long time yet. We have no due date and are unlikely to get one—Roll20 does not generally disclose timelines. It would be nice to have an app, but lots of people want a new fog of War system, or Modules, or Compendium improvements, etc. Presumably Roll20 has a roadmap based on marketing needs and development resources.
