35 years of DM experience, already have a couple of players that are joining and looking for 2, possibly 3 more. Dungeon World is a bit different, given its a lot more narrative and descriptive action. However it would be fine for new players because it will not be that high-brow.. It is my own setting which is called Vanth, a fantasy setting with a blend of ancient lost tech, flying pirate skiffs, magic, classic adventure, big monster hunting and fun. I will be sharing an intro background and hooks to get started. Opportunities for various races and I am a DM that runs non-restricted games so I don't block magic types, races, skills etc. If you are invested in a character and want something to work its always up for discussion to build an idea into the game. First session would be a mix of character builds and intro. I have set the first game for 20th Sept - however starting on that night will depend on player attendance and getting characters organised, so it might be 4th October that we really kick off. Depending on how well it gets off the ground, we may have the odd other ad-hoc game thrown in at times people agree to. It will be CERT18 rated R stuff but mostly because of descriptions of bloody violence, potential swearing and the fact most of the group will be a bit older in age. So expect the odd bit of rude behaviour but still a friendly experience. Not a pay to play, this is a just for pleasure game.
