Playbook preparation

If you would like to go ahead and start filling in your playbooks, you can do so before we meet, but you can also wait until then if you prefer. I will create electronic versions of the playbooks in roll20 after you confirm your choices. I would suggest the following playbooks: MattTheMighty Thief Character sheet created Josh G. Cleric Character sheet created Ayse Fighter Character sheet created Trashsan Barbarian Character sheet created Killian R. Ranger Character sheet created Following Jason Cordova's lead (he is one of the principals at The Gauntlet), I would like to use drives and flags rather than alignment and bonds. Since these do not require discussion with other players, you can go ahead and write yours in on your playbooks before we meet. We will go over them during the game introduction so that everyone knows what they are.

Well I wanted Fighter only reason I put Bard was in case someone else wanted fighter. So it'll be Thief, Cleric, Fighter, and then whatever the other 2 pick, so just let me know when playbook/sheet is up so i can fill it
great! so with it being in the wilderness I know ranger would fit real well here, but I was curious if anyone had any opinion between ranger and paladin for this. With a cleric in the group and I don't want it to feel like I'm taking up too much of the same narrative space. Let me know if y'all have a preference.

I say go for which ever you prefer/you'll have the most fun with.

I agree, but think that the ranger will probably be most effective given the wilderness and dungeon settings, especially with an animal companion, but you should choose whichever you prefer.
I'll go withbranger then, both are super interesting to me so I'm excited with ranger too!
Once your character sheet has been created, feel free to edit it. You can add an avatar icon if you like.
I'll be babarian. :)
@trashsan On your playbook, you need to choose between the moves "Full Plate and Packing Steel" or "Unencumbered, Unharmed". I put them both in the same slot. You can edit that move and remove the one you do not want. See https://www.dungeonworldsrd.com/classes/barbarian/.
You can find the full text of each of your playbooks at https://www.dungeonworldsrd.com/classes/.
Hiya Ralph. Can we reuse characters from your other games? As I recall I had a Thief there and it'd advanced a few levels. Further, if someone else REALLY wants to play a thief, speak up, I might instead try a Wizard.

You can use old characters, but you should lower them to level 1 first (remove advanced moves, remove “exceptional” gear, and set stats to the base numbers). It does not matter if you have a few extra rations or coins, but no magic swords. :-) @Matt, no one else requested to play a Thief.
Confirming Thief for tomorrow.
Cool.
