Token Art on Marketplace

This is mostly a problem with the Devin Night tokens... but they're not SQUARE! And it causes the tokens to look squished and or stretched in various directions when snapped to the grid. Would it be possible to have someone go through and edit the tokens to have equal dimensions so they don't stretch and squish? This is particularly noticeable on many of the norther orc tokens.
What I do is convert tokens to a drawing (right-click, select "Is Drawing" on the Advanced menu) then re-size to suit how big or small I want them. Then when finished I go back to the Advanced menu and un-select Is Drawing to convert it back to a token. That allows you to re-size the tokens without them snapping to the grid and becoming distorted.
That distorts the health bar and causes token overlapping, making it more difficult to use. I just think that if I'm going to pay for professional art, it should require no effort on my part to use. Token art should slays have enough trim around them to make the token square.
Oh well, I don't use health bars, I find they take up too much real estate on the battle map.
I think I agree with Jonathan here. If you're going to sell something meant to be used on this system you really should aim to make it compatible with this system. Simple courtesy towards your customers if you ask me.
I think you're unfairly targeting the artist... He couldn't make his tokens available on the Roll20 Marketplace without the approval of the developers. And I know for a fact that many of the tokens you're referring to were available before Roll20 was released. In other words, they were not created specifically with Roll20 in mind. If anything, I think you should be asking the R20 team to establish guidelines for artists who wish to sell their tokens on the Marketplace.
VTT's are not something new. They've been around for years and they use square grids. Anyone making token art for vtt's should know better than to make them out of square. They don't work right as a result.
It's been pointed out to us that some tokens weren't constructed with the 70x70 square in mind (which I something we do point out to artists) and that some have too much transparent padding (which we haven't yet addressed with particular artists).  These are things we'll continue to do going forward.   I think, though, that it's better form for the community to either politely contact the artist directly OR ping myself to do so on your behalf.  Not that complaints can't be made publicly, but I think the goal here is to have someone put in effort to change the issues at hand and I think they're much more likely to do so if approached with some more care.

Hey guys, I'll be working with Nolan to get this resolved. The tokens in question are probably some of my earlier work used in VTT's that didn't require the square format and needed to be trimmed down to the visible edges to not interfere with other tokens. Regardless I will make sure that all broken tokens will be fixed. Thanks.

They don't work right as a result. Non square tokens (including Devin's ones) have been working right, for years, in other VTTs, long before Roll20 appeared.  A problem only appears when a VTT want to squash the token inside a square, which does not happen in all VTTs (try Maptool if you want to see how other VTTs can react to tokens sizes).
Well, in any case, the issue has apparently already been noted by the artist and is being worked on. +1 for Devin N.
I had to re-size all the tokens for maptool too. I prefer them to fit into squares instead of overlapping and causing selection problems or sticking outside of their square.
