5E Templates not showing up.

I'm a plus member, I have scripts that use the 5e templates when the script runs it does not show up in the chat window for example to make it easy: & { template : 5eAttack} {{name=Test Attack}} {{attack= [ 1d20]]}} {{damage= [ 2d6]]}} this is its output: the command ran, the dice rolled but the output to chat is dead. This happens with ANYTHING that is not & { template : default} Any help would be great.  Troubleshooting Steps: disabled all api's  - did nothing used firefox , chrome, edge, and opera - same result disabled all addons  - nothing here either changed the formatting of the template name - nothing This is driving me crazy really really crazy.

Two things to try: 1) Verify that your game is using the D&D 5e by Roll20 character sheet (not Shaped, Community or something else). 2) It could be a corrupted Chat Archive. A game's Creator is often able to fix issues with their Text Chat by  clearing the Chat Archive  (note: not  clearing your current Chat Log ). A GM might want to copy/back up the Chat Archive before the Creator clears it.

forgot i did clear chat archive and chat log it did not work. as for the character sheet i 'm pretty dang sure i am using that sheet Edit: I'm using D&D 5E by Roll20 as the character sheet already.

The 5E roll template is a lot more complex than the default.&nbsp; Since I don't play 5E, I can't give you a good example of how to structure that roll.&nbsp; I can say that a quick look at the wiki page for the 5E roll template make me think you are not using all the different tags you should be to trigger different parts of the template.&nbsp;&nbsp; <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/5e_OGL_Roll_Templates" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/5e_OGL_Roll_Templates</a>
Thanks for the input, but that isnt &nbsp;a workaround for this the scripts use the 5e template automatically so even if i adjusted the macros that i use to workaround the api's &nbsp;still dont &nbsp;work.

Yeah, I didn't even look at the code. {{attack}} and {{damage}} are toggles, not for displaying rolls. Try this &amp;{template:npcaction}{{rname=Test Attack}}{{description=Attack=[[1d20]] Damage=[[2d6]]}} which yields this:

I'm saying you need to look at how the template is supposed to be called, find a configuration that works, and then use that in your script.&nbsp; If you don't have all the right tags in the template call, it won't display.&nbsp; Just like you are experiencing.&nbsp; That wiki page has a pretty complete list of what all the different tags do, what parts of the template they enable, and so you should be able to go through that an put together what you need. For instance, the attack and damage section of that page includes this: Caveats In order for the r1 or r2 sections to be output, the normal | always | advantage | disadvantage field must be included. In order for the hldmg section to be output, the hldmg field must be a calculable roll value. In order for the spelllevel field to properly expend the correct spell slot, the dmg1 field must be a calculable roll value and charname must resolve to match the exact name of a character sheet. In order for ammo to be correctly expended, rname must exactly match the name of a weapon that uses the correct ammunition field, r1 must be a calculable roll value and charname must resolve to the exact name of a character sheet. You can't just fill in things like you do with the default template and have it work.&nbsp; There is also an npc version of the template which may or may not be easier to work with for what you need.&nbsp; It is detailed on that page also. Again this isnt &nbsp;about macros even the api's &nbsp;that call on the 5e formatting do not post at all, as if all the 5e stuff is not there, workarounds for the macros do not fix the api &nbsp;calls. Do you have any other 5E games to test, to see if this issue is only in one game?&nbsp;&nbsp; Otherwise, it seems to me that if you have cleared the chat archive as keithcurtis mentioned above, you have tried Firefox and Chrome without extentions, and you still have no luck, then you might need to get in game, and collect the console log of what happens when you attempt a roll.&nbsp; And anything else that might have been missed from the solving issues wiki page:&nbsp;&nbsp; <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Solving_Technical_Issues" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Solving_Technical_Issues</a>

I think I'm having a fundamental inability to understand the question being asked. I'm also confused that both the Shaped and OGL companion scripts are running. Can you post the API code that is not producing template output?
yeah im thinkin i'm a fool yall can disregard anything in this post. still having troubles with token-mod but i'll deal with that later
