Newbie player looking for a good group to hang with and go on campaigns

Hello anyone who may be reading this I am looking for anyone that would take me my preferred class is Wizard and my preferred alignment is lawful evil I'm available 24/7 but I occasionally work every now and then doing some odd jobs but for the most part I am available I have a basic understanding of the rules but I have zero experience in any campaign capacity but I am eager to gain experience as it is the goal the most PCs to gain experience    Thank you for reading
Even though I have an opening for my 2e game, I don't think you would be a fit. I see the PCs as heroes and therefore don't allow evil alignments amongst the party.
Hero's can be evil.  the NE class just has themselves first,  they can be a hero until things turn and come back another day. Did you ever play a coward hero.  Afraid of his own shadow but does something spectacular when the chips are down.  It is a roll playing skill to play these type of characters and alingments.   Dont count them out. Give the Evil character that benifits he/she with good party interaction.  Yes they may look at the party as a way to get it done, but they become a hero just the same.    This is also a great DM challenge. LE and NE can fit into anybodies campaign.   Give your players the challenge to play that evil character and become a hear. CE can do it too.  I personally have never seen it, but believe it can be done. I play a NE character.  16th lvl psionic.   she has made some great friends and will go out of her way to help them as long as she does not put herself in danger.   She has completed allot of adventures and is consider a hero.  Yes she has done some evil things but sometime a party needs that EVIL balance to get something done.

Rick is completely correct like making and multi flavored ice cream you always want either sour to go with the overwhelming sweet flavors lawful evil or chaotic evil are those unique distinct flavors Rick said: Hero's can be evil.  the NE class just has themselves first,  they can be a hero until things turn and come back another day. My game, my call. I run a Mystara campaign where the PCs are to be the foils of NPCs such as Bargle, Baron Ludwig Von Hendricks, The Heldannic Nights, Barimoore of Ylaruam. Before character creation I let the players know what I, the DM, allow and not allow. and I have had no complaints. I said what I said so as to give the OP notice that my game MIGHT not be for them since they stated their preferred alignment was LE. (IMHO the worst of the evil alignments)
Sounds fine to me as an evil wizard my angles are typical of most Wizards attaining more knowledge and Power and cheat death other words learning the higher levels of necromancy and possibly other schools of magic of great importance but I would only favor two schools of magic necromancy and evocation the other schools don't interest me some of them seemed a little too overpowered on higher levels
If you need a perfect example of a neutral Evil mage i would suggest looking at Raistlin from the Dragonlance Novels. He Was one of the most heroic members of the group prepared to sacrifice himself multiple times in each Novel. He did not, however, do it to be brave or heroic but instead because he could not stand being bested. I myself have my players use alignment as a guideline that if they divert from it they suffer the penalties but are encouraged to develop their characters along whichever course they feel is natural based on the nature and nurture of the campaign. Only removing the character if they become a hindrance to the party or their purpose. If I do remove a character I still allow the player to decide "off screen" what their character will be doing with all of their EVIL time. In the end a player must realize that it is the DM's story that he has invited you to join in telling and must respect his wishes. Because honestly their isnt one of us DM's that wouldn't rather be playing.
I have a character that I play as neutral, but honestly should be more in the neutral evil realm.  She is a gray elf that has the best interest of the elves as her primary goal.  She will do anything for that purpose including murder, mayhem and what not.  The best example I can give is the dude that was hunting River in the movie Serenity.
