Hi total noob here was hoping if somebody could help me out making my first ever character for Dungeons & Dragons 5e much appreciated thank you

I'd advise joining a game using the listing function to learn more, be sure to click in the box "Only find games that  welcome new players ", watch some videos on the subject or read the corresponding book for the system you're intendning to play. If you are trying to create a Character on Roll20, there are a few options. It will largely depend on the DM of the game and the Character Sheet they choose. However, you can review the information about the 5th Edition OGL by Roll20 Character Sheet Wiki to start you off. There is also the Roll20 Charactermancer that provides assistance while creating a character. It walks you through the entire process. However, please note that if you are inquiring about how to create a character for D&D 5e while not in relation to using Roll20, it would be considered Off-Topic for the Roll20 forums. Yeah I was looking for help with the latter never played D&D 5e was hoping to get some advice on how to make a good character thanks I'll take a look at the Reddit pages edit* yeah I didn't know where to post this or if is allowed just signed up for this site like last night for a post this seems like a good group of people

The DND reddit group is a pretty chill group and they will help you out. If your question was about how to manage or use the charamancer or something Roll20 specific, you would have lots of help (sometimes overloading amount) posted here.

Hello Preston R.,  Thank you for that information. As this is an general inquiry about creating a character for D&D and not related to the specific use of Roll20, I am going to close this post. However, please note that there are games happening on Roll20 with DMs that are willing to take on new players and will help them create characters. You can look through the Looking for Group Forum as well as the Looking for Group Tool  for such games.  Best of luck!
