[LFG][F2P][D&D5E] Gauging interest for a long term story. [New players preferred.]

Greetings! Rad here, and I'm just a small time GM living in a lonely GM world. What we're looking at is going to be a pretty noob friendly game, running stories coming straight from Wizards of the Coast, though modified slightly, and connected into a large world, with a lot of options and freedom decided by the players. It will be starting from level 1, and while most of the books are based on level 1-10 and around there, I really want this to go on to be massively high levels if the thing ends up being as long term as I want it to be. The story is in the blueprints stages, but it will be reeking with roleplay and easing newer players into the game. The game would be taking place a week or two into October. Please, comment below if you'd be interested in something like that.
Ive only been playing the game on and off for a year. Got into it by watching critical role so i really like rp heavy games with relationship building between the parties and npcs and stories that indulge character growth. I like to create charactera with the potential to grow and learn and change.  What kind of stories from wotc are u hoping to apply? What times/days r u thinking? I am only avaible after 9pm cst. Cant do wed, fri, or sat at all.

At the moment, no time is set in stone, though the games would likely be played in the weekends, so Friday-Sunday.  As for the stories, I have a few short and some longer ones woven in. A couple that will definitely be in it are Hoard of the Dragon Queen, Rise of Tiamat, and I hope to add in plenty more after that, depending on how the game goes. At the very least, the Tyranny of Dragons will be in it.
Hi Rad Got into DnD very recently and your campaign sounds very much like what I have been looking for: - longterm to really get into the game AND get to those nice high level skills...not to mention bigger badder bosses. - Small and big story archs - I like exploring and lore gathering but like doing so while fighting and/or working to a satisfying goal. Not seen many DMs specifically ask for new players so excited to have a DM who wants newbies specifically...unless we wont be coming back. I am UK based GMT+1 Can do weekends...but ideally Tuesday/Thursday 9am to 6pm start time. Keep me posted if you think I make the cut. P.s I am partially sighted to if you are willing to make some hopefully small accomadations that would be greatly appreciated

Pleasure to see you're interested.  I often ask for newer players of my campaigns, as I have so much fun with noobs. It's before you learn to be snobby rule lawyers and can enjoy a bit of flexible rule bending to make for a better story. New players are just the best. Again, no time is at all set in stone, as I would like to have a full party and find the universal time that fits for everyone.  And hey, I also have problems with bad eyesight, as well as colorblindness, and I will be happy to accommodate.
I would definitely be interested! I'm brand new to D&D, but have been dying for a chance to join in my first campaign. I'm free throughout the week and weekends, so long as it's after 5PM CST (GMT - 6.) I'm interested in more serious, complex plots with heavy character development and arcs. Would you say you're leaning more towards a light or heavy campaign, in terms of tone?

I'm typically fond of comic relief after something heavy, and since the primary arc will at the very least start out in a pretty colorful place, it will be a little back and forth. The time usually works quite well with mine, because I tend to have sleep issues, so you shouldn't worry too much about that. :D

Hi Raddish, I'm interested aswell - especially if the game sessions take place during the weekend evenings (European time). I'm still very new to D&D (and table-top roleplaying games in general) myself, but not a complete newbie. I hope that is fine aswell ? I'm really intrigued by the prospect of playing a long-form campaign that reaches higher levels, modifying pre-written modules for that sounds really fun !

Yes, the editing will be so that even if you manage to get through a long campaign like, say, Curse of Strahd, you can easily transition to something like Mines of Phandelver for a short side thing, before jumping into something like Hoard of the Dragon Queen.
Hi Rad, I've played 5E before, it's what I was introduced to, but more often played Pathfinder or Vampire the Masquerade for a couple years. After I graduated college I lost my friend group to play with and haven't played tabletop in almost 3 years now so I'm quite rusty, particularly when it comes to 5E. I may not be a complete newbie to tabletop, but I'd be interested in participating, depending on the times that everyone else is available.

There's a bit of fluctuations so far, but I intend on going into private discussions, or inviting to servers, and properly iron out some details.
Hi Rad, Im also interested and... yes i have to say, i'm a newbee... I've played D&D before, but only in an Homebrew-Campaign and with Homerules, so i still have to learn a lot about 5e. My Interest lies especialy at evenings monday to friday (weeckend ist reserved to Football^^) everything else depents on the time. Some Questions are open... Voicechat/Textchat/Video...? Any external Programs needed? ... I'm complete new to Roll20, so... no experience with theese type of Games.

Voice communication will happen through either Discord or Telegram, though most likely Discord.

Just keep imagining the team stumbling around the lands leaving choas behind us So pleased to hear you are willing to accommodate.  Please do keep me posted....got a lot of interest already so would like to be part of a group with a lot of eagerness and enthusiasm. Mark me as interested oh mighty GM
This would be great. I have not played sense the 70's. Life got in the way but retired now so time would not be an issue. So if you have room for an old noob fart I'd love to be given a chance.
