I am brand new to roll20. I have joined a game group for a future game. my question is is it possible to create a brand new player sheet for a game system before playing and saving it into your vault ? thanks tony

Just create a game that uses the character sheet the game you will be joining is going to use.  Create your character and save it to your vault.

ok so just go and create a game and then create a player  store him in my vault for future use do they support castles & crusades ?

There is a Castles & Crusades sheet. You will need to verify that the game you are joining uses this sheet. Odds are you are good, though.
