Late May, 2946 TA Finishing with the guards by making them look as though they had been knocked out, Hauz, Grisha, Skari, and Fosco made their way back down into the sunken cages where Radril and B’nash were tearing at the wall. Fosco paused to barricade the door as he clearly heard more guards barreling towards them. By the time everyone arrived, the hole in the wall was almost complete. Together, the motley crew managed to pry the last board off even as they heard guards struggling with the table Fosco used to jam the door to the upper room. Scrambling out the hole, the Party made their way to, and ultimatly under, the outer wall of Laketown. When they surfaced, they found themselves just south of the Market Square near two medium sized boats. Noticed by the lone watchman of the northernmost boat, the town’s Wardens began raising the alarm. Together, the Party overcame his and managed to swing the boat out into the channel using various skills to secure their escape. Luckily, Hauz had been a sailor on the Sea of Rhun and was able to greatly help them. As they sailed from Laketown, the PCs heard various alarms being raised as the Wardens sent out ships in pursuit believing it to be some sort of Orc raid—B’nash and Grisha had been spotted first. Several miles from the waterfall that marks the end of the Long Lake, Grisha and B’nash got a strange expression on their Orcish faces. They turned their eyes to the southern part of the forest and spoke of the “master’s song.” They then promptly jumped out of the boat and swam in that direction. Thinking on it a bit, the PCs remembered stories of a Necromancer occupying a strange place called Dul Guldur (“The Hill of Sorcery”). I’m sure that doesn’t mean anything... Trying to throw their pursuers off their trail, the Party dumped their prisoner on the western side of the waterfall at the southern side of the Long Lake and knocked him unconscious. They then sailed to the East and disembarked. Behind them, the ships of the Laketown Wardens were closing in...
