[LFP] [D&D 5e] Looking For Three Players To Help Weave Tales From The Yawning Portal

Hey All - DM Apoplectic here.... (I realize I just said that as if you should know me or something, which is ridiculous - `cuz you shouldn't as it's my first ever post here on the Forums - but there you have it.) At any rate, the TL;DR pitch is, for reasons beyond anyone's real control, it's getting impossible for my regular local group to meet anymore. Therefore, it's high time to start looking elsewhere to try and get a game going. And so, here I be. I'm looking for three more players (total group number will be four and I already have the first member of the party slotted in) to run through Tales From The Yawning Portal strung together more or less (hopefully) into a full campaign. Additionally, as I'm a huge fan of Acquisitions Incorporated , The Adventure Zone, and Drunks & Dragons , I'm imagining the game will be run in similarly light-hearted a fashion. So somewhat inappropriate senses of humor are going to be a plus here. All characters will be starting off brand-spanking-1st-Level-new and using the standard point array for stats (i.e. 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8). You'll be able to use (most likely) any options available out of the published 5e books - just nothing out of DM's Guild or 3rd-Party sources, if you'd be so kind. If this sounds interesting to you and you'd like to give it a go, feel free to hit me up and I'll definitely get back to you on it. I'm looking to fire the engines up roundabouts early to mid-November (roughly). Time-frames ( a la days and the hours thereof) will depend on the group that eventually gets assembled, obviously. As for myself (and the one already slotted character) - we're both on PST, and our respective day-jobs could make weekday play a questionable matter. Weekends would be a far better proposition. Also, I'd like the game to run reasonably regularly (weekly or bi-weekly), however - as with most things - all these details can be worked out in finer specifics after the final group is cemented. With all that being said, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to check out the offer on table and look forward to hearing from anyone who feels they might be down for the venture. I'll see y'all at the Portal - table round the back, next to the questionable-looking troll and the animated sock-puppet. Cheers!
Depending on what time and day id love to bring my sorc or hexblade to play
I'd be interest in playing if there's still any open slots
If you still have open slots I'd love to join.
Would love to participate, hopefully sunday nights if at all ok with you guys! Hit me up!
Hey there! Huge fan of AQI podcasts and Naddpod here, would love to join in if possible, my schedule gravitates more towards weekdays, especially Mon-Thurs at anytime, now I know you two have a preference for weekends, but in case the game can be played on those days please count me in. I can play any role necessary to form the party. I'd say my experience is more of a newcomer who has done his homework.
if when you are ready to play you need 2 player myself and a friend would love to join
Hey All - DM Apoplectic back again... (I mean, well obviously - who else would it be?) First off, I just wanted to toss a quick thanks out to all who replied and expressed interest in hittin' the virtual table for this thing. You guys are awesome. Now, that being said, since I have what pretty much amounts to ZERO deets cemented as to the Time/Day question at present, it would be super-helpful for me if all of you who are interested (and any future respondents) would be so kind as to go ahead and tell me what your preferred/workable Time/Day predilections are to play. This would help me out two-fold, really. On the one hand, it would help motivate ME to go ahead and choose a Day/Time and just "make it happ'n, Cap'n", and on the other hand, it would help me in assembling a group for which aforementioned Day/Time would work the best and ensure that everyone involved could be gettin' round the table without herculean problems arising with too much regularity. So let me know, peeps - it would help out a lot. Oh - go ahead and include what kind of Class you'd be thinking about playing as well. I didn't mention that before because, usually, I'm not overly concerned with what Class a person might want to play. I mean, you do you, Boo. This time out, however, I'm thinking I'd like to assemble a group with the traditional "canonical four" type of characters- i.e. Fightie, Priestie, Thiefy, Gandalf - or reasonable facsimile thereof. Anyways, that's about all for now. Look forward to hearing from ya! Cheers!
This sounds like a group I'd be interested in joining!  Similar story to yours in that my offline group meets up every 2 - 10 weeks and I'd like to get some more regular play with people who enjoy DnD as much as I do.  I'm new to online play, but I imagine I can pick it up quickly.   Weekends probably work best for me, but weekdays may work if sessions are shorter (~3 hours).  This Friday or this Saturday morning/afternoon (MT) work for me if you're looking to get started quickly. I play a wizard in my other group, when I'm not DMing, but I'd be keen to play pretty much anything except for a Barbarian or Fighter. Hope to hear from you, Jon
I'm free weekends since I work on the weekdays, any time on the weekend should be good for me. As for class I was thinking about playing a Fighter or one of the other fightie types. Some signature here
Oh i'd love to join this, it sounds like alot of fun, i'm free wednesdays and weekends, my timezone is GMT+1 As for a class, i lean towards choosing whatever the group is missing, i enjoy them all really but if i had to choose i would go for a rogue perhaps Some questions, is voice a required thing? and can we use UA and homebrew stuff?
Hey there. If you are still looking for players - Im available Friday and Saturday morning-noon (Your morning-noon :P my timzone is UTC+3) Could play any class/race and create a charcter accordingly! Thanks.
If you're still looking for players I would be interested! I am free after 7:00PM EST Monday,Tuesday, and Friday, Before 4PM EST on Saturday and (atm) any time on Sunday Class wise I'm a sucker for warlocks and haven't gotten to play one in a while but I'm open to playing anything!
sent you a msg applying with 4 char ideas. i have 24/7 avail except for saturday nights.
I have a flexible schedule but easiest are late nights (after 7pm Wed, Thur, Sat, Sun).  I am in Texas usually.  I tend to fill the hole in the party so I play whatever.  You let me know what's missing and I'll have a solid concept to fit it.  I've been roleplaying for 30 years.  I will know all the rules regarding my character and I'm laid back enough to not freak out when you change or ignore said rules.  I'm here for the story.  (and I always have another character concept waiting) :-)
